Is it possible to play the main campaign online, with a mod or something?
Thanks.

As far as I know only FS2 has been converted. The process involved in converting missions is pretty simple though. IF you figure out how to use your namesake you could probably get it down to 1 or 2 minutes per mission :)

Converting is easy and quick, yes. However, to play it online there's more to it than that - Primarily, it needs to be properly balanced for having multiple friendlies of Alpha One ability. Besides of course being set up as MP in the first place.

I agree but a roughly playable version is easy. Especially if you just want it to play with a couple of mates :)
-
ok, only thing i want is coop for 2-4 players :)

In that case, if you don't care much about balancing, it should be as easy and quick as karajorma says :) Won't even need to convert the missions actually, you can just use the FS Port missions as a base.
First, extract all the missions and the campaign file with vpview. Then simply go through each mission, set the mission to multi+coop in mission specs, make sure it supports as many players as you want, and save it. Then go to the campaign editor, open up the FS1 campaign, set it to multi+coop, and save it. Don't change any mission names or it'll mess up the campaign. I think that should be about it.
You'll have a ridiculously easy time with it without rebalancing, but I'm sure it'll be good fun regardless :)

Thanks allot :D

One more thing: You will of course need the FS Port regardless as FS2 does not by default include all the ships and weapons from FS1, so don't forget that. I'm not sure how mod folders work with multi (I bet Karajorma does though :)), but if they work then the best option would be to stick the modified missions and campaign into a seperate mod folder and run it and the fs port as a multimod to get everything you need.
