I have been playing custom made stuff for old games during the last week, such as Zodiac (Deus Ex), Warp Shockwave (Descent 2) and some of my own FS2 missions.

Eh.  Finally beat Far Cry.  That's going away for a long long while.  Playing a bit of riddick, but I just got to the mines which kind isn't a very fun part, really.

I just ordered a copy of I-war 2 and a copy of System Shock 2 though, so when they show up I'll be playing through my old faves again.

I usually sell old consoles with their games, then just find an emulator for them. :p

But yes. I am on the verge of getting myself a new computer which is hopefully capable of running Oblivion acceptably. :)

BTW, has anyone got a 360 and played through Perfect Dark Zero?
What its like!?

I am waiting on UT2007 and Splinter Cell: Double Agent. Not sure exactly when those will be released. I'll probably play through Quake 4 soon, which I got with my video cards but haven't had a chance to try out yet, and replay Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory at some point as well.

My course grades are perfect so far, so I'm not going to worry about that. :D

My brother has that. I think he said the story sucks but the gameplay is pretty good. Haven't tried it myself, as I can't stand console FPS controls.

The story sucks in PDZ? :( That was the cool thing about the original...

I've been programming, mostly. I must be getting old.

Dude don't say that, you make me feel old, your only a few years ahead of me. :p
I'm only 21, and the young fellah's at uni have the nerve to call me "grandpa"!
Guess we've still got Flipside to make us feel young though eh? ;)

As for coding, C# for me. Which is a godsend for an old java programmer. That learning language "Dr Scheme" was rape for anyone who'd had any proper programming experience before. =/ (at uni)
You were a java programer yeah?

Ugh! Don't list 'em if you haven't played them in the past 6 months damnit! Too... many... lists!!!

*ahem*

I haven't really been playing much... mainly Dawn of War:Winter Assault and Neverwinter Nights:Nordock, but that LEC thread made me a bit retro... with the help of DOSBox I've been (trying to) have some TIE Fighter re-runs... smeg that game is a lot harder than I remember it!!

I used to be really good at pulling snap-rolls and 1-shot-killing missiles that were lancing after me, but now I just keep spraying everywhere in a vain effort to blow the bloody thing up!
And the lasers travel so slowly!! But this is made up from the fact that it takes 900-years for your ship to accelerate! (Speed changing was a lot more tactical in TF mainly because of that, you couldn't go from 0-100% in an instant like pretty much every other space combat sim!)

I may need to dig out my 3Dfx version of MechWarrior 2 later and see if I can get it to work with my Sidewinder... those were two of my favorite ever games back in the day :)
The tutorial mission alone for MechWarrior 2 was great ;)

What I really want is an Elite-style game. Sortof, Freespace meets Freelancer, but not so combat oriented. And open ended. With addon-missions.

Like X3, but not crap.

Maybe she is right as I have the PC version so I can play with great graphics, the xbox version so I can still play when she is occupying the PC, and last but not least a PSP version for when I do manage to leave the house........................

I've been playing the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 port to the Axim X50, and it's actually not bad.  I absolutely loved the original for PC, played it first on the Dreamcast.  Other than that I've been running through Final Fantasy 6 again, purely on my PPC, and if I ever have time to play on the PC, I'm playing through something in FS2, just actually finished Ransom's Sync campaign.  Next is Trancend, and maybe I'll get back to my music project.
