Have you got these into FS2 yet, Thorn?
I wanted to put Homeworld ships into I-WAR 2, but I'm not good at that sort of stuff..at least not yet.

Plus you'd need the SDK to convert the HW ships to IW2.

It's like a techno-organic nanomachine virus. Think of the Borg if instead of turning people into drones they turned them into organic circuitry for spaceships. Very nasty.

BWO was going to use a few altered HW ships but we have opted agansed it, but I'll make sure you all get them after we relese.

Not yet...
I can get them out of HW, turn them into a .cob file, play with em in lightwave/3Ds Max etc..
I need to know how you add subsystems to the ships? and the engine glow?
If I need Truespace I'm screwed, unless I can get a copy of it somehow...
That and I need a working cob to pof program..

Alrighty, I just need to know what to do with the textures..
What file format? Where do they go?
Do I have to do anything special to the model telleing it what type of textures/where they are?
etc...
once I get this I think I'll be able to figure out the rest myself..

FS textures are 256 colour PCX files, normally only 256x256 in size (bigger sizes are auto-shrunk unless you use a registry tweak to alter the 3d card settings - see the general Fs forums)

LOL! You should see the beast mothership..
it took the hangar/engine section of a Kushan mining ship and grew a new ship around it....
Cant get a good render of it..
That involves taking 16 different models and trying to put them together so they look like the ship (it has many sections, support, hangar, resource processing, engineering, and theyre all separete models)

Ace, I gotta side with Icefire, using ships from other games (even with re-skins) would make it look a bit cheap.

Especially with re-skins. It's kind of like trying to fool the public - 'Yeah, they're new models, what are you talking about?!?' - I'd only use models from other games for TCs.

Alright, I finnaly got the Dreadnought to work in FS..
only problem is, its oriented wrong...
