Title: Futurama coming back!

For 26 more episodes! I was over on Billy West's forums, just reading and I stumbled accross this little diddy. http://billywest.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2011&PN=1 It looks like we're getting a full season instead of a couple new movies. I can't wait!

Well, Billy West himself wrote it, so i'm taking that to be a reasonable sign of authenticity. However, I forsee that - somehow - FOX is going to queer the deal.

FOX would get royal hell if that were to happen.  Like perhaps a friday night timeslot.  It's been known that FOX puts shows there to die, isn't that what happened when it was on FOX's airwaves last?

well it got put on the sunday lineup, then the tuesday line up then the thursday line up, then thursday an hour later, then wedsday then tuesday again the mon day the tuesday an hour earlier then wedsay then thursday then friday, then it got canceled and the reruns picked up by cartoon network who ran it every saterday at 10pm for like six months and god absurdly good rateings, now fox is ordering more eppisodes...

Once again, Adult Swim helps to bring a Fox comedy back from the grave.  I can't wait for this. :)

Although, as a consolation, the DVD-movies should still be going ahead, otherwise there would have been a more formal - and widespread - notification. But hell, any Futurama is good Futurama, am I right?

Nuts...oh well, at least we still get the movie releases.  I've found Futurama to be the wittiest animated comedy out there, as well as the one with the most heart (episodes like "Luck of the Fryrish," "Jurassic Bark," and "The Sting" might even be considered tear-jerkers).  I didn't really watch the series when it first aired on Fox, but I've been watching reruns on Adult Swim for more than a year and have grown to really love it.  It'll be great to get the crew back together again. :)
