I have a single mission, which I've put as the first in a campaign, yet when I start it as such, there are no ships or weapons available in the loadout screen, despite them being available when I start it as a single mission, and despite me ticking every box in the initial loadout section of the campaign editor.
Ideas?
-
Try selecting 'reset' from the loadout screen.
-
I am seeing the same issue -- missions in which the weapons selection is fine when played as a single mission, but some weapons don't show up at all when the identical mission is played as part of a campaign. Resetting loadout etc doesn't help.
-
You need to specify allowed loadouts in the campaign editor.
-
Petrach seems to be saying that he has.
-
Indeed.
-
I'm going to run a test in a sec. Which version of FRED are you guys using?
-
fred2_open_r-20060306.exe
-
Oh, whoops. I misread that as the initial loadout dialog in FRED (the mission editor).
In that case I don't know. Could you attach your campaign file?
-
Bam.

Hm.
What about the mission? :)

Should I put this on Mantis, anyway?
-
Actually, ignore that.
It seems to be just that 1 mission that causes the problem. I've tried setting the other missions as the first one in the campaign, and they've all been fine.
So I don't know what the problem is with that one.
-
It must be the filename.
If I call the mission "Bev01", then the ships and weapons don't appear. If I call it "Bev01a", then they do.
Very, very, odd.
-
Definitely Mantis that.
-
I will.
Although I'm not so sure about it being the mission filename now. I think it might be the campaign filename, rather than the mission. Strange.
