Title: Derelict SCP mission problem
Post by: FizWizz on March 21, 2006, 01:56:51 pm
Hi, I may be newly registered here, but I've been playing FS2_Open for a good while and occasionally checking HLP for interesting things.

Anyhow, I've got a problem with the voice-acted Derelict SCP campaign, on the mission where you save a mercenary group from an MT attack. The mission goes smooth until (what I presume to be) the end. I destroy the AWACS, defeat the bomber wings, the Cypher kills the Aeolus, the MT Orion warps in and slaps the Cypher silly (once it even killed the Cypher before it could jump out, which didn't seem to effect the mission events), and protect the Argo until it warps out, but after that nothing happens.
All the objectives are shown to be completed, but I do not get prompted to return to base after the Argo warps out, and I've even waited five minutes for something to happen, but everything basically just sits there. When I do jump out anyways, I get the AWOL debrief and can't continue to the next mission. I *would* just kill myself five times and just skip to the next mission, but it disappoints me that there is a glitch in the campaign, and besides, I don't know if a side campaign starts either.

Any help would be appreciated. I doubt it matters, but I'm using the 3.6.8 delta VPs, and pretty recent .exe, and FS2_Open is more or less stable for me (barring the DEM campaign, it crashes some ways through the first mission, pity)

The Cypher getting killed *is* affecting the mission. Only when both the Cypher and Swiftsure have departed does Command send the RTB message and allow you to progress to the next mission.

well, the Cypher dying only happened once. Even when both the Cypher and the Argo both jump out (which has happened a number of times), I still don't get the RTB message. I suppose I'm just going to skip to the next mission, but the problem still exists =\
