Title: Quick thought about the lensflares
Post by: DaBrain on March 21, 2006, 05:08:07 pm
It's not all that much important. I wouldn't even dare to write a request for such a simple thing, but maybe it's easy to do and sombody like the idea.

The lensflares look nice. They're a real eye-candy with good maps. Yet they could look a bit better.

I think their size should depend on how close you look at the sun. If you look right into the sun, they have the full size, but if they're on the edge of the screen, they're really small.

Can you tell us how to turn at least the implemented lenseflares on?

Well, you can't really turn them on and off like this.

FS2_open doesn't have map for lensflares. Not even with the MediaVPs. You can use the TBP lensflares.

Just copy the 'corona' files from the effects directory. And here comes the problem: It still won't work. You have to add them for each sun individually. Just take a look at the stars.tbl in TBP and you'll probably see it's rather easy to do. ;)
