Someone pointed this out at the Wx, I didn't even know it was there. SuperCyclone Glenda has winds of 160mph and a 898mb pressure, a Cat 5 storm. It also has been noted that it is moving into more favorable conditions. Dang, Australia is gonna get hit from the other side now. :sigh:
The strong winds over Australia that I though would protect the eastern side of the country, will probley help this strengthen.

Don't worry, it's far from NSW, so all the important parts of Australia are safe :nervous:

/me stabs Mefustae.
As long as it doesn't Flood Lake Grace again, it's pretty much nothing. Actually, the summer storms've been fairly light this year.

Well, it's inland, don't really know how strong it was, but it got sheered some before landfall. Maybe it weakened enough to be mainly a power outage threat.

*Ditto*
It shold dry out pretty fast once it crosses onto the mainland. Though a few towns may be hit with it again. :(
But evidently Australia will beat it off our huge manly chest and go on our way.
-
Well it's weakening already, they say it will be Cat 1 by tonight.
Luckily its path didn't go through any towns directly and missed pretty much all of them. :)
The worst they reckon people will get out of it is flooding.

Edit: LoL, just heard a bloke talking about it over the phone on the news.
"Not too much trouble here mate, the pubs are still open."
