What do they do?
Why should I install them?
Are they the maps to make all the ships SHINY like the colossus pic here??

The MediaVPs already have shinemaps in, so no.

And if you read the existing Colossus thread more carefully you'll see that it was explained how to get the ships looking that shiny.
