So I spent the last 5 days downloading and watching the entire 5th Season of The Shield.
And, before I give you my opinions on the finale, I remind you that this is me, an0n, talking. Got that? Right, then:
I actually cried.
And I ain't cried in like 8 years. Not for anything. And I started ****ing crying.
Hell, I'm welling up again just thinking about it enough to type this.
Best. Episode. Ever.
Of anything.
Ever.
And I feel so strongly about this that if anyone argues, I'm going to stab them in the kidneys.
If you don't go get the entire season and watch it right the way through - right now - I swear to God, I'm going to fly out and punch you in the goddamn mouth.
I, personally, am going to go buy every last Shield DVD I can get my hands on.....

not sure why I just remembered that just now.

Is it humanly possible for me to ask what this "The Shield" is without getting stabbed, shot, or otherwise mutilated?

The Shield is a tv series featuring a dirty cop(s) breaking headz. I like it.

It's about police. Specifically, a small police station in Farmington and the 'Strike Team' led by Vic Mackey.
They're like mini-SWAT in principle, but they're corrupt so they skim profits from the drug and prostitution rackets, kill Internal Affairs moles and occassionally attack Aremenian money laundering operations to steal hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash.
Basically, it's like NYPD Blue would've been if Sipowitz had been possessed by the spirit of Judge Dredd in the first episode.
It's writing is up there with BSG, Sopranos, 24 and House.

Its a class show alright. I've downloaded the 5th season but only just started watching it. some of my friends have been saying the exact same thing about it. Getting me all excited.

It's like the Apocalypse, but with 99% less Jesus.
