I've been working on my "Eternal" campaign on a half recent version of FredOpen.
Anyway I decided since cutscene sexp's wern't working correctly for some reason I would download and use the latest version of FredOpen 27/3/06 and see if that would fix things.
I havn't changed anything, anyway, I saved the file and when I load it in FSO it I get this....
Error: Eternal-E1M10.fs2(line 100:
Error: Required token = [$IFF:], found [$AI Behavior: None] .
File:C:\DEV\PROJECTS\Freespace\fs2o\fs2_open\fs2_open\code\Parse\PARSELO.CPP
Line: 606
[This filename points to the location of a file on the computer that built this executable]
So I downloaded a recent cvs build which I thought was the problem, but :(for some reason they all don't even start for me. So I am unsure what to do, is this mission salvageable or will I now have to trash it and start again loosing 6 hours of work. :(

If you use a recent version of FRED, you need a recent version of FS2 also.

Yeah thats what I figured but for some reason the latest ones don't even start up for me lol. I am thinking of just saving the file as a FS2 retail version and then opening it up again in the old Fred. That should work right? (I'm at work so can't test right now)

If you save it in retail format, you lose all SCP information (except sexps and some flags).
