I had one last night. On last night I was in a some sort of MacGuyver episode where he was suposed to infiltrate a palace or something. Anyway when we got out of there we saw a couple old looking gliders doing a dog fight above. Suddenly one of them took a hit and it had to land. When the pilot took his leather helmet off I saw he was a really young looking MacGuyver and he looked at me with a wide grinn and shouted "TIME PARADOX!!". The rest of the dream was the normal sneaking and doing gizmos... the usual MacGuyver stuff.
:nervous:

Man, you have a serious crush on Richard Dean Anderson...
-
I've had a few involving the fellow students I'm living with at the moment... they were pretty weird despite being based on real life conversations we'd had that day.
Oh, I also dreamt my dad allowed me to drive his Aston Martin DB9.. although we don't own one...

I bet it was a real downer to wake up from that one
-
Sort of... considering I scraped the bodywork backing it out of the garage, it was also a relief ;)
-
Yeah, i have.
-
I sometimes have dreams fighting monsters (and ghosts), something like DOOM. ;7
-
I usually don't remember what I dreamt about.
-
Oddly enough, 2 nights ago I dreamt I was doing some kind of train robbery with a friend of mine, who has been dead for the last 5 years. The worst part was that I got arrested, because, for some reason, I'd decided to hide in a field of corn, but only about 2 rows of corn back, so I was clearly visible.
And no, I haven't got a clue what it meant. But then, I've had dreams where I'm in charge of the Enterprise, with Evil Spock as my science officer, so I've stopped trying to figure them out...
-
Watch too much DS9 and you'll end up dreaming about being there. Only in a bizzare joke involving a ferengi, a klingon and a universal translator.

Hm. I often just see a stream of different scenes that are just somewhow merged together. It's like a movie with no plot, exept that I'm starring... Usually I'm holding an assault rifle/sword/steering wheel in familiar enviroment and often very much kicking ass, sometimes resetting after failure. But there are these wierd warpings where doors lead from my school to my home, and old school buddies suddenly changing to old army pals.
Most scary thing, however, are the dejavus (sp?). Sometimes when I get a new game I never even seen anyone play before, and notice a "situation" I dreamt about a couple of months ago. These flashbacks (or whatever) are so unique that they can't be a coincidence.
-
My dreams are a complicated mess of Halo and other games I recently played mish mashed into movies I recently watched.
Creepy stuff.

Actually, that pretty much describes my dream patterns.

Mine was the night be for last... I was dreaming I was in command of the Enterprise-D and fighting a Victory-class star destroyer, and Data was acting like he had mental retardation.
-
Last night I dremt of being in some sort of CS/DooM/Enemy Territory/Real Life situation. Strange thing is I don't really play Counter Strike nor like it. But anyway. I was trying to capture a boat that was on land for some reason, it was basically my base. I apparently got distracted by something and all of a sudden it was full of enemy forces, so I jumped up on a light pole which had a saucer like structure about halfway up and I got a sniper rifle. Then, here's an ET reference, I gave myself ammo for it. I went over in the bushes on the other side of the road/field type thing and starte picking off people who came toward the base. Then I woke up.

You bet I've had my share of weird dreams.
One night not long ago I was back in the army. It was kinda weird, though. One could count it as a nightmare also... for some bizarre reason, all other conscript leaders had been granted a holiday and as the highest ranking of the conscripts (being an officer cadet [upseerikokelas]) at the time, I was to keep order on the 2nd Jaeger Company. :shaking: Actually, there was one corporal (alikersantti) who was appointed to be on call, but he happened to be completely inane and lazy in real life, too, and he was that on the dream too, so he was really of no use.
What made it worse was that it was situated at the time when the new conscripts had arrived just about 3 weeks ago or so, so they all came asking me impossibly stupid questions and generally acted like n00bs so I literally had to take care of everything myself that I really wanted done. (If you want a clear picture of fresh conscripts, try to imagine your wingmen in FS2, but with a version that half of them does everything badly and the other half comes to ask you every single thing they are unsure of)
That continued for some time and things were slowly descending towards hell... Suddenly the theme changed - now I was the conscript... I remember thinking like what the hell, I can't be a conscript after being already closer to 7 months in the army. :nervous: Well, I was the conscript and I happened to receive a "midnight special" aka duty from 2 am to 4 am - the most annoying turn. So, on my turn I was supposed to go at least once round the building... check everything was allright and all that. Well, there was not all right, there was one another conscript* in a toilet... What happened next was kinda ripped from Full Metal Jacket, and I kinda knew that, so at some level I realized it was adream by this stage. Not that it helped in any way, it was still quite gory. Then I woke up, very happy to be off that place and happily on the reserves.
*In reality, this another conscript actually did end his own army time by jumping off the barracks roof, I don't know how badly he was injured or what happened to him afterwards but he ain't going back in the army, that's for sure. I remember talking about it with my army mates and as one of them said: "Imagine if he had flipped over the edge on the shooting course, with an assault rifle and a magazine with 10 rounds attached..." :nervous: :shaking:

meh, any dreams i have are rather mundane at best, last night, dreamt that somehow some oil managed to get on my scanner plate and ruin my comic's lineart whilst it was being scanned..
yep, pretty mundane. :blah:
-
Anyone know what "leev totra nee, leev toh hee" means?
Someone said it to me in a dream a few weeks back. :nervous:
-
I had a dream last week that the world was ending, and only certain people were chosen that would get to live (by some means they could be saved, not sure what) and my family and I was chosen, but my girlfriends' wasn't. A lot like Deep Impact, only I don't know what was going to end the world, but I don't think it was a meteor. Pretty crappy dream, I woke up really worried I'd never get to see my girlfriend again, but then I realized it was just a dream.
I've had others that were pretty random, or mundane like Turnsky, but also like Prophet I get dejavu in real life about something I dreamt about awhile back. Odd.
-
A lot of me killing people with a lightsabre. Though the deaths are especially gruesome.
Playing KOTOR 1 and 2 in a row will do that.
-
I dreamt up a whole episode of Evangelion (which I haven't seen the end of yet so don't go spoiling it) The cool thing is it was actually a pretty good episode, nothing mind-blowing but still decent.
-
I had a dream - last night in fact - in which I owned an Xbox360, and when I booted it up the first time, I played Mario 128... only it had the graphics of the original Super Mario Bros. from the Gameboy, y'know with a 4-pixel Mario... it was more of a nightmare, really...

When I was in the Karelian Brigade couple of years back there were couple of incidents. On conscript climbed in the the communication (or somsuch) mast next to the parade filed and jumped down. He landed on the fence surrounding the mast, I think he was cut in half. Other incident was that a conscrip supposedly shot him self in the mouth with a practice round, in that same parade field. But Im not sure about that, either it was a rumour, or there was a cover up. I think it was a rumour.
But back on topic...
Last night I had an unusual dream. I saw a prettymuch a complete Charmed episode! With a surprisingly solid plot. It was about somekind of hidden&warped&shielded city inside some object, I think. Exept that when the witches went there the inhabitants realized that other world exists started making raids on the outside world. Also one of the Charmed ones gave birth to a baby of a woman from the wierd city. What happened was that when the woman started giving birth, tha baby started coming out of one of the charmed ones. It was weird, and I think that was the main idea in that episode. But there was a moment when Alyssa Milano was bending over and wind swept her skirt up, giving a juicy view of her ass ;7
Shannen Doherty was also in it, I was kinda sad when she left the series. Not that Im saying that theres anything wrong in Rose McGowan either. :nervous:
Let me finish by saying that I really am not somekind of fan of the show. I just watch it semi-often, that is Im not doing anything and the show happened to be on tv. Last time I watched an episode was about a year ago I think.
And seeing a dream with this kind of continious story (more than a glimpse) is very rare to me.

I'm such a deep sleeper that I almost never remember anything whatsoever about my dreams, let alone dreaming at all. But last night, I had one that seemed to last for days, rather than the ten or so minute sequences I usually have. It was such a bizarre dream, I cannot even put words into it. I know it had to do with some kind of laboratory, but what was going on, I have no idea.
Anyway, when I woke up, I briefly didn't know where I was, felt half dead with a fried brain, and looked at the clock and noticed I had slept for 14 hours. No joke.
Creepy.

Possibility of abduction cross your mind? :wtf:
:p

Sort of... considering I scraped the bodywork backing it out of the garage, it was also a relief ;)
Haha, tough luck one way or another. Too bad.
Actually speaking of the waking up moments. A week ago I was quite dissappointed that I woke up.
It was a dream that had included normal screwed up life, war, ninjas etc. quite a good dream overall to tell you the truth. But at one point there was a samurai and a nice looking geisha together. The samurai began groping the girls chest area, but instead of it being an x-rated event he at first pulled a notebook from the girls chest pocket and then continued by sliding his hand into the girls clothes... and pulled some pens out. And at that moment I woke up. God I wanted to know what would have happened next.
I did watch a movie called Shinobi - Heart under Sword (quite a good one actually, I recommend you give it a try), so that migh have influenced my dreams back then :p
Goober... I wish I knew what that means.

Hehehe, I remember I used to dream about being besieged by Gremlins, but I had the ability to glide / psuedo fly if I got a run up enough in my backyard. Those were scarey. :shaking:
These days its pretty boring, general chats and stuff with mates, everyone talking in my room for some reason, or just girls (slightly more exciting). ;)

I dreamt I was molusted by BSG's Admiral Caine (Michelle Forbes) last night. YEEEEEHAW!!!!
-
omni..... i dont even want to know
ok, here's my wierd one
I was Mega Man (probably X), and i was in class, a big lecture hall like 300 ppl. Dr. Wily is up in the front of the class, and im sitting next to Zero. so the teacher starts handing back papers, and i keep getting back low grades, 6/11 and such. one exam paper just had a big 7 on it. it was sad, i was failing whatever class that was

Good to see a man taking pleasure from his work.
-
What?
Can one be truly responsible for their own subconscious?

It can't be a subconscious without conscious.

What any sane bloke erh woman would do I'd gather? :p

Maybe my memory just sucks.. (actually it really does, it's quite selective) but does anyone run into problems with memories being real or dreamt? Today for example, I was reminded of a conversation I had with someone, but I couldn't remember if the conversation actually happened, or if it happened in a dream... :doubt:
-
Yes actually.
I get frequent cases of deja vu.
Really big one the other day, swear I'd dreamed or had the conversation before, and there I am having it in real time going "wtf I've done this before". =/
Strange brain.
-
Indeed.
-
I had a weird one last night that involved women of some sort. I wont go into details, but i specifically remember getting a strange taste in my mouth, which I swear was real but it was part of the dream. I swear i could like taste it when I was asleep, I think I can do taht thing called lucid dreaming or whatever it is where you can control what you do in your dreams which is awesome. I think things like that are what make the human body and alls its functions amazing.
-
I used to have a recurring dream in which I could fly, simply by sort of... flapping my arms around. It would take quite a bit of effort, but I'd actually be able to lift myself up to about 50 feet in the air (treetop height) before I'd have to stop and let myself fall back down again due to getting tired. It was wierd because in more than one of these dreams, I would think, "WTF, this can't be happening..." so I'd try inflicting pain upon myself in order to see if I'd feel it. Amazingly enough, I would actually feel that pain.
...So there goes the theory that one can't feel pain in dreams...
It was also wierd in that all of these said dreams were in color and HIGHLY detailed... meaning that the environment and general "dream physics" were so real that I couldn't tell it was fake. And although I have had these sort of dreams numerous times (at least 10 I think), I can't remember a single instance of waking up, despite remembering details of them so clearly. I swear, it's freaky. :shaking:
So uh... yeah. Now I feel scared and embarrased. :nervous:
-
Better way to tell the dream from reality is to try and squeeze your nose and try to breathe with mouth closed. If you have no problems breathing with closed mouth and nose, you can be sure it's a dream.
I've had one or two lucid experiences in my life that I can remember, and most of them were just like "wait a sec this must be a dream" but then I didn't have time to actually do anything when I woke up already. :blah:
Flying dreams are kick-ass ones. Even the ones involving airplanes. Strange thing about them is that I never seem to be just able to float through air, I have to do... how should I describe it... "pseudo-work"? Actually I "fly" usually by swimming through the air by dolphin-kick. Without hands usually. :nervous: Also, it usually starts by tripping off when running fast, but then I just don't hit the ground. I don't know if this has been affected by Douglas Adams... probably.
-
...So there goes the theory that one can't feel pain in dreams...
Supposedly you can't read while dreaming. If you can find a sign or book, if you try to read it, you won't be able to because that part of the brain is shut down or some such thing.
I used to have night terrors when I was younger that I was falling to my death.. always falling falling falling every night, and I'd wake up screaming and crying. :nervous: I sure don't miss those.
-

Lucid dreams are what you have when you realise you are in a dream but are not really awake. Usually you only have to focus on certain details before going to sleep. At earlier times the ammount of lucid dreams I had were so ridiculous, that before going to sleep I thought "What am I going to dream today?". :pimp:

LoL at this.
On a different track of mind though, maybe you ate a bug or something.
I find sounds and feel on my body work themselves into the story of a dream.

I'm sick at the moment, so my dreams have been really, really freaky. Hard to explain though. I think I've sort of been experiencing what it would be like to be mentally retarded or brain damaged - People giving me things to do that they seem to think should be simple, but that I just can't do, but in my case, it's reality that isn't working. I don't remember all the specifics, but I do remember a lot of metallic sheets, with a sort of variable consistency between metal and sheets (i.e. bedsheets), the end result being that I get caught up in it and start to melt, for some reason. And I'm hearing voices, people talking about me like I'm not there. It's been nasty.
-
Like BlackWolf...I've been sick for nearly 4 weeks on and off now so the dreams that I do remember are pretty funky. Less funky ones involve getting into an airplane to fly home but I'm all worried that i can't navigate home (much less fly the plane - that doesn't seem to be a problem). Some other dreams are not suitable for telling :)
Honestly dreams are just your brain doing some rewiring so its usually a whole bunch of things concious and subconcious being rolled into one. They only apparently last a few seconds at the most so the whole sequence of events happens very quickly.
-
The thing that's awesome and freaky at the same time about dreams is that you're solely responsible for them. Everything from the most repulsive sight to the most clever plot you dream up is all in you head, you know? If you see something you don't like on TV or the internet you can blame it on someone else but you don't have that luxury with a dream.
-
Time to bump this back in order to bring you some more... Tales from the Sandman-TV!
Last night...
I was working in a some medium scale company and they organized a month long vacation to Spain for everyone there, exept me.
I was left behind since someone had to take care of things when everyone else were away. Of course I was dissapointed but in the end I was able to go to Italy with my mother, for a week long trip... whee.
Anyway this just made the setup so that the rest of the dream happened in Italy, which was covered in snow, and everyone there were driving like nuts without any winter tires. Sliding around etc.
So there I was in Italy, at the airport. When suddenly I crashed into Sauli Niinistö (the one who was competing with Halonen for the place of the President of Finland). He was a bit annoyed of my sudden collision, but was on a cellphone and walked away with his security (some security he had... they didn't even care). And when I was recovered from the shock then suddenly Bruce Willis came and gave me a note of somekind and invited me to come along with him to an adventure. When I wen't with him I noticed there were other random tourists aswell and then I was told that Willis was organizing somekind of adventure trips for tourists around Italy. Naturaly he came along to those trips and we began waking into the Italy wildlife.
and then I woke up...

Fortunately, dreams are stored in real short-term memory, so you'll probably forget it if you wake up and focus on more important things at hand, like CRAP, I'm already late to class!

This must be told.
It was decided that all the Finnish peoplle had to be deep-scanned by Psy-Core (yes, the one). And everyone was just totally cool with it, I was the only one that thought it sucked big time... There were a bunch of these telepaths like Lyta, Talia, Alfred &co, and nameless random people... so they scanned all the population, but there was a problem with some people. Matti Nykänen couldn't be scanned, they tried multiple times but just got blank results every time. There were other people too, but they had no names in the dream.
So it was all very confusing and didn't get any better when I suddenly got transferred onto my old house's frontyard. There was a Cessna 172 Skylane standing in the middle of it. I had no idea why it was there. Then the dream ended.
-
I rarely remember my dreams compared to when I was younger. I usually only remember my dream (ie what we usually call 'having' a dream) once in three months or so. Anyway, my dreams that I can remember mostly involve me running franticly in various environments, trying to escape a group of people/things trying to kill me. Sometimes it even has me dodging stuff, running through gunfire, etc. The other dreams generally involve girls I know :D No, not that kind of dream.
One remarkable dream I still remember from when I was 6 or so involved me meeting other people in a library. What was remarkable was that I realized I was dreaming, so I kept trying to explain to the people that they were in a 'dream world' and I belonged in the other world and this was my dream. See, you can tell I'm gonna be a sci-fi writer.
Another time I had the day off so I was semi-sleeping late...so I woke up with the dream in my head, and lay there in bed and thought of the dream, and sortof fell asleep again and resumed the same dream...this continued for a while, so by the time I got out of bed, I had almost completely lost that innate distinction between dream and reality...I kept remembering the stuff that happened in a dream as if it was real, and it was easy to do so because the dream didn't involve anything supernatural, just people. So for the rest of the day I periodically thought 'Hey, I have to talk to someone about what happened earlier this day...wait, that was the dream...' Yeah. Anyway, the reason I remember it is that it became really mixed up with reality to an extent that hadn't happened before. And the effect lasted really long.
-
I too get flying dreams, sometimes with a craft of some kind, other kinds with the "flap my arms" kinda deal. Unfortunately, I can never seem to get anywhere, because there always seems to be high-tension electrical wires in the way, no matter how high or low I go, there's always those wires.
I also used to get the lucid dreaming thing. It was back a few years ago, and I'd get dreams where I'm at my cash register (yes, I work as a Cashier at my nearby Walmart) and everything concievable would start going wrong, co-workers who should be there to handle them weren't, and all the customers were ligning up at my register and expecting me to deal with it. Finally, I'd realize that this couldn't possibly be real, that I must be dreaming, and I'd promptly tell everybody that since it wasn't realy happenning, that I didn't have to deal with it, and left. Unfortunately, nothing happens from that point on, and the dream ends.
Fortunately, I never seem to get nightmares of any real sort. I have had some horror/sci-fi dreams with Zombies and body-invading and controling parasites, but the skills and tools always seem to be there for me to fight them, and kick ass while doing it. I recall seeing legions of zombies coming after me through some rural farmland area, and I had some hand laser gun, and was carving them up in rows. They just kept coming, but they kept at a walking pace, so I was always able to keep ahead of them. It was actually kinda fun.
-
Matti Nykänen couldn't be scanned, they tried multiple times but just got blank results every time.
This didn't surprise me
-
Wow. Here I am thinking that I don't get dreams that I remember very often, and then last night (or, this morning realy), I had one.
I was in a prison, but it wasn't on land or the ocean, it was in space, and in fact, it was in the BSG (new) universe. It wasn't a very big complex, perhaps with no more than 32 prisonners. Then at one point, myself and one other inmate got transferred to another complex somewhere else, of the same size, but there were only the 2 of us among the prisoners. Furthermore, the other prisonner was Starbuck (not the original). Then one day, we woke up and found that all the guards were gone. All their weapons were gone too, but we had full run of the station. I recall at one point, that I had taken an inventory of what was there, and found that there was an FTL-capable Raptor and a Viper MKVII on the station, and I was just about to suggest that we grab as many supplies we could find and take off in the Raptor, but then I noticed that another ship had arrived, and a shuttle was on its way over, so we thought it best to return to the prison area so we could appear to have not tried to flee. When the shuttle arrived, it had some officials on board. They had no indication as to what happenned to the guards and prison staff, but they seemed satisfied that we weren't responsable for killing them or something. Furthermore, they praised us for not trying to flee, and some older woman who appeared to have some political influence (no it wasn't Laura Roslin) suggested that she might be able to have some leniency added to our sentance, so we could serve out the remaining 8 YEARS from home... house arrest or something, I guess. Now, I knew that I wasn't native to Caprica or any of the colonies, so I recall mentioning that I didn't actually have a home. After that, we were chatting with some old Admiral or something, who I'd apparently met before being sent to prison. He was telling us something humorous about his wife, something that I recall he'd said before, and he'd done some kind of impression of her, so when he was telling us this again, I copied his impression. He didn't find it humerous, but mainly because he was distracted at that moment. Right then and there, I realized we weren't on the prison complex anymore, but rather somewhere else that wasn't realy well lit. I could see the Galactica's C&C table about 10 meters away and Adama was hunched over it looking at something, and most of the other officials were there or heading over there to check it out. It was this that had distracted the Admiral, who then went over to check it out. Starbuck was just about to join them, then she stopped and came back, and grabbed a pair of pants saying:
"Oops, I very well can't go to a briefing in panties now can I"?
You see, since about the time that that Older lady started talking, Starbuck was suddenly just a T-shirt and underwear for some strange reason (no, it wasn't one of those kind of dreams). And we're not talking millitary issue for either. I recall that her underwear had some designs on them so they definitely weren't millitary issue. Just at that point (that she spoke about going to the briefing without pants), I recall thinking back to the series, recalling how that Cylon had had her in that medical facility, and had done some kind of reproductive experriments on her. I was wondering if that extra scar was there because the Cylons had removed something (IE, an egg), or perhaps where they'd implanted something. I was waking up at that point, so I guess thats why I was starting to think in more logical terms. Weird eh?
-
Not quite as long or as intresting, but today I was sleeping in one of the computer labs and (as you do) I had a weird dream that I was being repeatedly run over, inside the lab, by one of my friends, with her saying out the window "Sorry, I do that all the time." Turns out that she had been in the room, and was talking to a couple of other people about driving and decided not to wake me, so I'm pretty much converted to the idea that people in comas can hear you talk :nervous:
-
If I do dream, I do not remember it. However, I have a theory that I don't dream...at least not while actually asleep. Rather it comes out as the Random Idea GeneratorTM before I go to sleep, and from there (or simply direct to) into the fanfiction I write.
In which case dear god am I screwed up. Case in point below; would probably help you to be familar with Sailor Moon, and with fanfiction in general, since it descends from a reversal of the unfortunately common godlike author character.
Memory
I remember her face. I doubt I’ll ever forget it. I see it far too often. Not in person, but it haunts my dreams.
I wonder how many ways to interpret that I could come up with.
It’s a kind face, gentle too. It might have suited her once. Scratch that, it did suit her once. I know that better then almost anyone. And it may yet suit her again, though there’s a long series of rather large ifs between that and reality.
She was doing an art class at the high school across the street from where I was taking a college class. A vain attempt to finish my major; I can never afford to frequent one place for that long, that regularly. I can’t really say why we passed from nodding acquitance to mildly friendly in those first two weeks. Maybe I just trusted her appearance then. It was trustworthy at that point, too. She was still what she appeared to be.
Two weeks is traditionally when all hell breaks loose after I meet a Sailor Scout. It didn’t this time, and I thought I was lucky. I should have known better. I wasn’t lucky, she was. She went mad, just as the rest did. She talked to Serena before she talked to me, though, and so learned the direct approach hadn’t worked. She chose to be subtle about it, to play it as if her attentions were natural, and forming naturally. I was too used to them going obviously insane.
I fell for it too. For the image of herself she showed me. It may have been what she was really like once, before the madness. I loved that image. I very nearly walked right into the trap, completely oblivious.
She told me a lot of lies. Some truths too, as all good liars do, mixing the truth in to make lies seem more real. A lot of the personal information about Amara, that was true. The abusive part was complete bullcrap. Amara is mentally and emotionally incapable of it. “Never again” is inscribed deep into her soul. Amara would die before allowing it to happen to another person, kill herself before doing it in person. That’s why I trust Amara more then I ever will anyone else.
But a mountain of lies falls in the face of a single truth. She kept a diary, and accidentally left it in my apartment the day before I would have moved in with her. I happened to glance at what was written on the page as I was moving it from the couch to somewhere safer, so I could return it to her later. I always seem to escape by the slimmest of margins. The next day I told her it was all off, and what I’d seen. I had my gun pointed straight at her the entire time. I had hoped she would walk out, and I could leave without a mess. It was not to be. She turned away, tried to transform, and I had to shoot her before she could start. I shot her in the shoulder; I didn’t want to kill her.
My problems aren’t entirely not my fault. I could solve them permanently. I know where they live. Hell, I could have shot her in the head then and there. Before they transform they’re no tougher then a normal human. Bullets can kill them then. But I don’t kill them. Damn my altrustic nature anyways. In the end my own life is worth nothing compared to theirs. I’m just a guy. They’re super-powered defenders of humanity. Somewhere in the madness they remember this, too. They’re very careful not to hurt normal people who get in the way.
Except her. Of course.
It was during the attack on the new hotel downtown. She was a pretty girl, with pretty red hair. She was hurt, and it was no place for anyone else to be, so I went over to help her get out. Leg was injured, you see. Bleeding. I never got the chance. She died. Not through any action of mine or of her wound, though. No, she was killed. By who? Her, of course. My antagonist. I’d gotten used to the nightmares by then, they didn’t actually bother me so much anymore. She gave me new ones.
She killed the red-haired girl in a jealous rage, spouting nonsense about her threating our relationship. I didn’t even know the girl’s name then, hadn’t spoken to her. I was just walking in that direction. I mean, seriously, what the hell? On the slimmest of evidence she chose to nullify everything that she is, her life’s work. She abdicated her duty and her honor for the flimsiest of reasons. She was a Sailor Scout. Her sole reason for existence was to protect normal people. I had a vague sort of respect for her morals then, since she was the only one who had never decided to kill me. That went poof real fast.
I tried to kill her then. She is the only human I have ever delibrately tried to kill. The only person I have ever delibrately tried to kill, for that matter, since I suppose I need to count Catsy and her sister, who aren’t strictly human. The critters who invade our dimension aren’t people, even if they look human. They don’t bleed the same color I do, and human-like or not, they are soulless and evil. Maybe they weren’t always, but they are by the time I’m dealing with them. I don’t kill Sailor Scouts because they still protect people. They are not wholly evil. And I think they aren’t really doing this of their own accord, the regularity of the symptoms is too much.
It was hopeless, of course. I can’t kill a transformed Sailor Scout. It just isn’t possible, not with the tools I have. I emptied the magazine in the gun and the six more I was carrying, plus the round in the chamber. Normally I save one shot for myself, should it come to that. I didn’t this time. Seven times thirteen, plus one. Ninty-two shots. They had no serious effect. To be sure I made her stumble back a few yards, mass and velocity remain mass and velocity even for a Sailor Scout, even if they don’t actually get hurt. But she didn’t even bruise. I would have been very screwed if not for the intervention of Amara at that point. Sailor Scout strength makes a mockery of anything I can do; Amara hit her once from behind and she crumbled to the ground, unconcious, never knowing what had happened.
I hate her. I thought I’d hated before. That was nothing, doesn’t even count as mild dislike. I will see her dead. It isn’t revenge. I have as much claim to revenge on any of the others, more actually since she’s never tried to kill me. It’s justice. Justice for the pretty girl with pretty red hair, justice for the committing the ultimate crime and the ultimate dereliction of her duty. I found out the girl’s name, later. Sara Pollard. It’s Sara Pollard’s justice, humanity’s justice on one who was supposed to be its defender.
I remember your face, Michelle. And I know you remember mine.
One of us will see the other just before being called to accounts by Saint Peter.
Death is freedom, release from the nightmares. Waking and otherwise. I’m not afraid to die.
Are you?

I remember having premonitions, like one where i dreamt i had a really nasty bike accident that involved me flying over the front of my bike and sliding a few feet along a sidwewalk, and bam, a week or so later i have the same exact accident, only it hurt more. (:p)

Anyone know what "leev totra nee, leev toh hee" means?
Someone said it to me in a dream a few weeks back. :nervous:
I'a Dagon. I'a Hydra. I'a Cthulhu :p
Well in all seriousness I generally don't remember these sort of things, but last morning right before I woke up was an odd one:
I was at a bar with one of my profs from this semester who is now not teaching as he's working on his Doctoral dissertation and doing lithics analysis for an archaeology company. Anyway he bought a few of us in class dinner right after finals. I'm assuming that in this I was buying him drinks to even out the score.
Anyway, also at the bar was a female friend of mine. Two guys also sat next to her, one of which I'm guessing was an ex-boyfriend. There was a ring on her finger, (engaged?) and I was a bit irritated that he was trying to do the "it was great when we were together..." bit when I was right next to her.
Needless to say, most of my dreams are these sort of mundane things that seem to almost happen or do happen. Rather creepy...
I was expecting some weird dreams sort of influenced off of playing Call of Cthulu, but that didn't happen. The only real 'game' or TV show/movie dreams I've had recently (i.e. the last year or so) was walking through a park that was eerily like Mankar Camoran's Paradise... (sans Daedra and crazy speeches voiced by Terence Stamp)
-
I had one where I was pounding an old school rival's face into the floor outside a classroom.
-
Fortunately, dreams are stored in real short-term memory, so you'll probably forget it if you wake up and focus on more important things at hand, like CRAP, I'm already late to class!
That's why you should have a notepad by your bed. Then if a weird dream happens you can write it down without losing too much of it. The notepad is a good idea as well if you're like ngtm1r.
For my weirdest dream...
I was with Batman & Robin in the Batmobile, and we were trying to pick up girls :) ... but I had this dream so long ago that that's all that I remember. :(
(Way too many that's)
-
I have to add my own weird dream which I had just last night.
At first there was Superman (Brandon Routh) walking down a corridor, then I heard narrator mentioning how tall Routh is (WTF?) and other gibberish. Then Superman turns and goes through a doorway, suddenly Routh is Jackie Chan. Rest of the dream was Jackie Chan as Superman doing superman stuff the jackie chan style (again, WTF?). A while later Jackie Chan laughs and confesses that it was all a parody-trailer of Superman Returns and the dream ends. :wtf:

I'm betting your dream is better entertainment than the movie.

Has anyone here had dreams about your teeth falling out? I once had that kind of a dream and my dad says he has had several of those. Apparently its quite common theme in dreams.
Also does anyone else here keep a dream journal? I do and it currently has 44 dreams in it and they're all really really freaky.
One of the latest was a bit like Rson's dream: me pounding my old classmate's head with a rock the size of my fist. His face was just a bloody mess after the treatment and there was blood everywhere.
And about a week ago I had a dream in which I was figuring a way to dispose some guy's body. Apparently I had killed him and I needed to destroy the evidence. I thought about slicing him up and burning the pieces in a fireplace.
I'll list some of the weirdest dreams in the journal:
A beautiful date with a beautiful girl goes wrong when a drunken Russian policeman asks me to take his police dog for a walk in the park. Then the dog gets really bad diarrhea and tries to wipe his butt on my trousers.
One was about the Lone Gunmen stealing an intelligent chimp from Russian research station. A couple of weeks later it turned out there really was an episode in which they stole an intelligent chimp from a research station.
Me turning into a dog after having sex.
Invisible monster biting the Finnish president's head off
Me in a heroic rescue attempt to save the "killer whales and white polar crocodiles", by launcing torpedoes from an old WWII era submarine towards an evil polluting factory.
Greates Environmentalist Poet in the World and
Orange Juice Wrestling
Mr Bean in shower with me (no, it was not a homoerotic dream)
Japanese zombies working in a school cafeteria
Me being Hitler's adopted Jewish brother. (although I'm not Jewish)

I once had a dream where I cut my left hand off from the wrist (or was it mid-arm? hmm...), using a puukko (steathknife)... Then I just, I dunno, put it back where it was supposed to be, kept it in its place for some time and it kinda molded with my arm and was all healthy again. :nervous:
Also, I've had a dream where some badass snake (not in a plane) bites me and I know I'm screwed... If I remember right, that was before my high school end exams (ennen ylioppilaskirjoituksia). They turned out okay, however.
Talking about weirder dreams, I sometimes dream about absolute chaos. There is nothing but grey noise everywhere, and I of course. It's really weird a dream, it sometimes involves something I should do that I don't really understand but sometimes it fails and sometimes it succeeds... and for some reason, the whole destiny of world depends on it.
Weird thing is that I've not seen nightmares in a loong time. When I was little, I had a continuous "dream" about a snowmobile crashing into my room through the wall. Another dream involved a spaceship... I remember these dreams quite well, and I must've been under 5 years old. You see, when I was a kid we lived in a region where passenger airplanes frequently flew overheads, and particularly in the evening the lights of the planes were very fascinating to me. I knew of course what they were, but in the dream one of them turned to be a spaceship that landed onto a street. Then the dream ended usually. Strange thing, however, is that I wouldn't describe them as "nightmares", just pretty damn weird dreams. The only dreams I've been afraid in were the one involving the snow mobile, and one involving a spiral staircase and me hanging on the outside of stairs and eventually falling.

Ah, waking up from a bad dream, and realise the same weird things are still happening, then waking up again, and wondering if this time, am i`m really awake or not. :shaking:
This one I had as a teen. Had a dream I was on a date, with a beautiful girl that was turning out great, then my mother woke me for school, :wtf: and the dream continued the next night where it left off, and wouldn`t you believe, she woke me again grrrrrr..
Had another bad dream, I was on my way to work and had to stop for a train and then a guy on a motorcycle tried to beat the train, but got hit and knocked into the air.. The bike and the rider got thrown into a wooded area. I jumped out of the car and ran into the woods looking for him and found him laying on the ground with half his head missing.. I woke up from that one freaking out..

I had one about two years ago. It was really weird, I'm carrying a tray full of martinis (insert BIG :wtf: here) and i suddenly trip on my shoelace and i fall straight down. About a half-second before I fell I woke up with one of those dramatic gasps people do when they wake up from some dream.
