I have a frend seis nice person but she had a messed up child hood and she has lots of problems, she's been liveing on her own for the last year and she is finding it imposable to make rent, so she calls me up just now and in an almost excited tone tells me about how she is planning on liveing in a tent for the next few months, I'm speachless, she somehow doesn't understand that this is a bad thing, I don't know what the **** to do about it. I've gotten her about a thousand job aplications I could probly count how many have been filled out and turned in on one hand, she doesn't own a car, doesn't know how to drive and REFUSES to learn, she has a job but they only give her 2 days a week, she can't quit because she's planning on sueing them and her lawer told her quitting would be bad, and she has school every tuesday and thursday night, so she "can't" get a diferent job. I don't whant to give up on her, but sometimes her sheer lack of will to survive is overwhelming... WTF?

I hate to sound like a prick, but you should simply let Natural Selection take its course...
Seriously though, let her spend a week or so in a tent, that week should discourage her from going near a tent for the rest of her life.

I'm drunk, my blood sugar level is sky rocketing, so this advice my be off but: tell her the truth. Yell it in to her skull that the world works differently from what her ****ing mind percieves it and if she refuses to accept that, you HAVE to back off until she learns it for herself.

There is some truth in that. She needs to realize she needs to learn how to drive. Its what we do. Its life. She needs a real job. Two days of school gives more then enough to not only work weekeds, but weekdays also.
She needs a reality check.
And tho i may not know the full details, to me, sueing a company just cause you dont wana get a real job, is kinda unfair. Just cause she needs money, dont mean bankrob them, it means to get a job.

in regards to the law suit, it's legitimate, they have been harassing her, but now she's useing it as an excuse not to get another job.
the thing is, she probly could survive, for now at least, but if she doesn't start takeing responsibility for her self I'm worried she's going to be forced to live by picking out of dumpsters or something, and the thing is she probly wouldn't find anything wrong with that! she just has no desire to live.
