Those are some loooong Hercs. That and the lack of thruster glows are the only things not directly related to lack of practice

Here's a hint- if you bump-map a planet, make it SUBTLE. Those waves have to be at least a hundred miles high...  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)

What's with the Hercules fighter? They seem stretched out.

I see some thruster glows.  I like the planet, just the atmospheric glows could use some work.  I think Warlock had some trouble in that department with TrueSpace.  Those Hercs are a little stretched, did you zoom far out?

As for the planet's atmosphere, try to make it blend with space. Kiind of like slowly fade off as it extends further away from the planet.

This ("http://www.angelfire.com/ab6/iverach/anomaly.html") really shows you how much the angle can screw up a perfectly good render...

I intended to have the Hercs turning to attack the Hades. I can't see how you guys think they're stretched (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/tongue.gif)
