This is going to sound silly, but since I will be losing net access for a undetermined amount of time very shortly I need to master this multi-part turret thing. If you've been following my progress on GW I have been failing miserably.
If someone could upload a .cob versin of a working turret that would be great as I am a hands on guy and if I have a file to work with I can see how things work. Following instructions is great but when you got questions in betwen steps or wonder why things don't work after you've completed one really sucks ...
If you want details of what I've been going through go look at the "ask a modler thread" there.. Despite how silly people might think this request is, to me it is very important...
My thanks to any who takes the time to help me out. (and thus getting rid of my need for future help on this subject as I will then be able to do it myself)...

Not sure what your problem is, since I don't visit GW. But here is a turret-model for you for reference, including hierarchy, axes, lights and submodelnames. I hope it helps. If not, post here and I try to help you.

Thanks! It was a big help.. Seems along some of the experiemnts I did I WAS doing it right. howver the turret will only fire and even move if I reverse the axis.. TS 3.2 must be doing something to it... If it makes a diff I have to use modelview on some of these models I use as PCS crashes, yet they work fine in game regardless of source (HTL MV or even High Poly cob2pof program). I wonder if that could be an issue.
Anyway I won't worry about this until I "re-accquire certain thigns I had years ago, but never though I would need so I stupidly got rid of them.. :D I notice that there is a "program" 2pof plug in for example.. More experimenting is called for....
