for more info on the said story. It seems that 71 opts (in game models for xwa) are done, and 71 more are needed to get this thing ended. I just heard the news and felt I had to say it out loud here and on the hard light forum , since for all intents and purposes XWAU is trying to do the same thing that happens here, only their job is harder, as the engine is older than FS2 and they can't tinker with it.
Progress on a star fighter themed game upgrade site is generally "a good thing" :)
If a mod feels that it is double post and spam (both here and in hard light forum), please delete the offending post.
And if anyone of you modders, and creators of imaginary star figthers extraordinaire (R) :D feel like it, head over there and give those guys a hand to finish of the remaining 71% sooner rather than later.

Good for them. I'm a big X-Wing fan, and I played XWAU for a while a few years ago. That engine is a dog, though. And to be honest, the standard for their models is starting to look outdated. I really appreciate what they've done, but it's a shame it couldn't have happened on an engine as nice as the FS SCP.

Completely agreed, I also used to play XWA a few years back....
I have little experience on XWAU too, but the game itself is kinda rare now, and since I longer have the original CDs.... :sigh:

Good looking models. Too bad the game was kind of underwhelming. Just never clicked for me the way TIE did, and honestly, if you don't click with the plot and missions, well, there isn't enough variety in the game to keep things interesting.
