Oh, I thought this was a render of the famous "Dive! Dive! Dive! Hit your burners, pilot!" - situation...
anyway, nice render (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
-
It's still pretty dangerous though (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

fighter beams are smaller than that...or are they some new kind of UBER fighter beams?
-
OH MY GOD! He used a different background..
Looks pretty good 'cept for those frikin huge AAA beams...
-
They are supposed to be big (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/tongue.gif) It's a field testing of a new fighter beam you could say (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

Lens flare?! I thought you guys used another method to get those glows.
Oh well. I'll try it out then. Thanks. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

Setekh uses lens flares too... We do em in the rendering program tho, not in photoshop or anything... (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/tongue.gif)

Volume Light works too. To tell you the truth, volume light would work better for an angle like that. Especially if you show that to the anti-lensflare nazis @ the DBB. (you show one lens flare and they go ape****)

I made an old render called Helldiving uses only volumetric lights that used only volumetric lights for everything (beams and engine glows). I dont have it on this comp so I can't post it, it's at the Hidden terror forum which seems down (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/frown.gif)
