Loved the bit where he was calling everything marxist. Well I suppose if you're very far right anything else seems really left wing. This guy probably thinks that UKIP are marxists too. :D

****, he probably thinks Hitler was a nice bloke with a good set of ideas who just needed a bit more conviction to make a name for himself.
-
Actually he probably considers Hitler to be a maxist too what with him being head of the National Socialist German Workers Party.

For those with sound issues (as in someone trying to sleep on the other side of a cardboard-quality wall), and therefore no ability to view video, summary?

The BNP are bat**** insane.
Little more detailed;
The Conservatives, Liberal Democrats, Labour, and the Church are all Marxists. The 3 political parties have all made a pact not to discuss immigration in any form. People buying stuff and having more money than before is 'ripping' society apart. The BNP would ideally like to return to 40-50 years ago, when it was better and the country was mainly white. Um.... oh, we have people coming from 3rd world countries after being ethnically cleansed, and we are now being ethnically cleansed (exact terms used). The BNP would set aside £1bn of taxpayer money to pay immigrants to leave the country and would ideally like to remove all of them (i.e. non whites).
Here's a couple of quotes (check the linked thread)
"Anybody getting married next week, they've got a 50-50 chance that it won't last 5 minutes"
"There was a gang fight... I don't know what they were, Kosovans or Albanians or something like that"
-
owned maybe, 'Bat**** insane' I wouldn't go that far, he doesn't realy sound much diferent than our conservitive party realy.
-
Is it frightening that up untill about 3:40 odd into the movie... I agreed with him? We are fuelled by consumerism and there is a lot of additional tax compared with past years.
That doesn't mean I agree with everything he/they say - but they're making one or two valid points as well.
-

To paraphrase the famous quote, they'll keep the trains running on time.
Doesn't excuse anything else they say.

Yarr. Good to have people who speak their mind. We need more of these good, solid, debates, not the mealy-mouthed stuff you see on CNN.

Why, does your conservative party accuse every other party of being Marxists and accuse refugees of ethnically cleansing white people?

You agree with some of the other points raised as well?
-
He never said that (though he might, I'm not him).
I do agree though.. solid debate and opinion are something lost in todays political parties. Part of the state of this country rests on opinion - not how the fact are presented. Meaning that yes - you could say more money has been spent on the NHS recently than ever before - but that doesn't excuse its failings which are there for all to see. The state of the transport network, the police' over eager attitude towards speed cameras as a third-party source of revenue, the tendency to give smaller / reduced sentences to criminals so that the out-dated jail system isn't put under undue stress, ID cards, immigration laws...
...these are all things that "joe public" complains about every day. The facts to back up these complaints may not be clear cut and reflect these views but that doesn't alter the opinion each person holds. It's time someone (not necessarily the BNP) addressed these things openly and prepared themselves to find out what people really think.
-
He never said that (though he might, I'm not him).
Said what? My quote above? He bloody well did, watch it again near the end. I believe the quote is roughly 'some of these people have come from the 3rd world after being ethnically cleansed. Now we're the ones being ethnically cleansed'. This following a 'warning' that whites will be a minority in the Uk within xx years (who gives a ****?).
-
Be very careful.
Yes he raises many valid points - This doesn't mean they will act on them.
This guy is smart - He is very charismatic and seems to have learned the skill of social engineering as used by black hats and con men everywhere.
It's an old trick - Raise valid points then throw in your real ones, and people will associate them and eventually come to think of the bad points as valid too.
Adolf Hitler did similar things; He too had the knowledge of how to hack the mind of a mob.
-
Smart? He's thick as 2 short planks nailed together and encased in concrete. Bear in mind - the BNP tries to pretend it's not racist. 9 minutes of this guy unscripted shows how much of a lie that is.
-
I'd love to know if anyone has ever been stupid enough to buy that.
-

Hence the question...

Similar editing in media happens here. Getting access to a full unaltered version of a press release can sometimes be a rare and factual experience. It also opens ones eyes to how much spin the media put on things.
As for the UK's clogged prison system, there's been some jokes flying around down here in Australia. They mostly include inviting you guys to dump your prisoners here again, but us putting them to work in the uranium mines. :p

Um... did you know (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/spl/hi/uk/06/prisons/html/nn2page1.stm) Australia has a slightly less jail occupancy rate (still overfull), but a higher percentage of unsentenced prisoners than England & Wales? So really the figures are more or less equal, except for Scotland, which is lower than both countries on both those counts.
So I guess you can see how media spin can change perspectives.
-
Compare the rates to other countries though and we seem to be quite normal if not below average. LoL at us having the 2nd highest rate of imprisoned woman. Take that Russia!
Mind, if you were to take into account country population etc thing might read a little differently.
I think we do fairly well (according to those stats) considering we're a fairly diverse and multicultural country.
-

ummm... eh, as a matter of fact.... for the most part.... eh, yyyeeeeah.....
"BNP, nearly as bloody stupid insane as the Americans"

i'd make some popcorn, and watch it on a nice big tv so i can see him sweat

Trends in Australia and New Zealand
Murray compared US and UK data over time and found a clear pattern. But what happens if we extend his analysis of crime and prison trends to other Anglophone countries?19 In particular, does MurrayÕs analysis hold for Australia and New Zealand?
In Australia and New Zealand, as in the US and the UK, the prison population has grown in absolute numbers over the last 40 years, although the growth has been nothing like as large as in the US. As Figure 1 above shows, imprisonment per head of population roughly doubled in Australia and New Zealand (and in England and Wales) in the 40 years after 1960, with most of the increase coming after the mid-1980s, although the Australian trend has lagged somewhat behind that of the other two countries.
Where Australia, New Zealand and England and Wales all differ from the US, however, is in the rate of imprisonment per crime committed. That rate fell in all three countries until the mid-1980s. Since then it has remained relatively constant, rising slightly in England and Wales and New Zealand in the last few years (Figure 3 opposite) while staying flat in Australia (Figure 2 below). Thus, although the number of prisoners increased in all three countries over the last 40 years, the probability of ending up in prison for a serious offence declined quite dramatically.
A nice read if your interested in that type of stuff. I'm also snooping around the Institute of Criminology for Australia atm. :)
My Aunty studied criminology. She used to defend the jail system alot if someone *****ed about the justice of letting people go free early etc.
I'm still trying to find more stats, but I so far seem to find a steep increase in crime after the TV was invented and became mainstream.

Albiet Tv become mainstream would itself both be a consequence of other societal changesand run parralel, anyways.

Aye. America poisening the world via TV. ;)
At least, I'm up for blaming them. The TV told me too. :p
But yeah, AuzLand(tm) is supposedly multicultural. But it creates a lot of problems as well. There is still racism etc, its just that it seems to be a slightly worse offence than normal abuse.
But the extreme of that can be seen in the incidents down in cronulla fairly recentish.
Plus any true racist would have a hard life here I think, near every job has multitudes of different races of people, a racist wouldn't get very far at all.
Australian violence has mostly been under the media radar, some people hardly ever hear about it. Alot of it goes on in the street, low key stuff, ie no guns. So its kind of shovelled under the proverbial mat.

"Did you threaten to overrule him?"

Yep :) I can't hear that paticular interview without bursting out laughing to this day :)
EDIT : Class! The BBC website has the interview (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/newsnight/newsnight25/4182569.stm)! :D
It gets good around the 1:40 mark when he asks if Howard lied. :)

Just FYI, I think you missed Grug's post and misinterpreted Kalfireth's post as replying directly to you. :)

Yes it does :) I wasn't replying to you.. I was replying to Grug who said "You agree with some of the other points raised as well?" whilst quoting Goober. You've misunderstood a bit mate :)
Cyker, I do hear what you're saying but I'm actually not arguing for or against this man or the BNP... moreover I'm saying that there are issues this country needs to address that are swept under the carpet by media manipulation and - yes - the careful nudging of society towards consumerism.
-
Goober still didn't answer my question though. :p
-
Do I look KKK to you for some reason or what?

Are you asking irrelevant questions?

Ya.

Yeah. Curiosity killed the cat eh?
Does your answer matter that much though?
Goober still didn't answer my question though. :p
This one?
You agree with some of the other points raised as well?
Ya.
Hmmrh, I suspected so.
-
my point was the BNP sounds almost exactly like our mainstream majority ruleing party.
-
I think your ruling party has that ethos, any conservative-based party would, but whilst it's opinions may fall on the side of that preference, they aren't stupid enough to actually try and swim against the current to get what they want. Conservatives always have a slight advantage, in my opinion, because whilst true Socialism is an ideal (an unachievable one at that), conservatism is the natural mistrusting state of humanity given political form.
The BNP, however, fail to realise that most of us spend our lives hovering between these two states, our own inner fears of people with different colours/cultures, our stereotypes of them are always in conflict of the fact that we are aware that a lot of those fears are based on stereotypes. They think that simply by passing these laws, that the populace would accept and abide by them.
