Hello! I just signed up after seeing the huge Freespace 2 revival, and I want to run TBP.
Only problem is, I can't see to find the Core 3.2. SG doesn't have it listed on server, and the torrent's no good.
Any suggestions?
-
Let me guess, when you click on the SG link, you get a redirect. When you select the file you want, it tells you 404, right?
Answer, when you get the redirect, close that window and click again on the link on the TBP website. It should work this time. Don't know why it does, but it does. Just tested it myself.
-
Sounds easy, but I'm still getting 404's, even after closing the redirected window.
Also, the description doesn't show the file as there (0 bytes). Any additional thoughts?
Edit: I didn't read that correctly. I was linking off of the Download page in the SG forums. It's downloading now.
Just so other people don't have to go through it: click here (http://www.filedomain.stargame.co.uk/download.php?file=3)

Then try it several times. The download should begin when you click the link at the TBP site. I just tried it myself and got it to work after couple of attempts. It is strange that StarGames tries to decive one in such way, but keep trying and it should let you download.

I've been trying to download 3.2 all week but it times out every time.
Is there a mirror?

The link here works for me: http://babylon.hard-light.net/base_downloads.php
Just tried it, downloaded fine.

just click the link provided up in the thread. it should automatically begin download. It should make it easier for ya.
Good luck!

Yeah guys, I've been trying all week.
I'm trying again right now, but it got to 15% and stopped. I'm wating for the time out message right now......
-
Guess what? I tried downloading it again.....and it ****ing timed out, again, and 60%
****ing awesome host you guys picked for it.
Can somebody upload a copy to moddb or hell, even rapid share?
-
I would upload to Rapidshare but I'm fairly certain it exceeds their maximum file size.
One of these days, someone will get this worked out. One of these days.

Surely there's got to be a mirror somewhere? An FTP? Another torrent? There seemed to be a ton when it was first released.

I just downloaded it again, so I can assure you that the host is fine. I'm afraid the problem lies on your end, or at your ISP.
Try downloading it with another browser, ot from another computer (with a different internet connection).
