Title: This ol' gem.
Post by: Dan1 on April 29, 2006, 09:46:00 am
I was searching through skippy's campaign list and I found a neat campaign I haven't seen before and decided to get.  The Centaur Project.  Even has voice acting and IS scp compatable.   :D

Download is here:

(Also, search function works again but I didn't feel like reviving a year old thread so here's a new one)

Halfway through it now.
Seems pretty good, there's some cracking Fredding going on here. The custom models arn't up to much mind, and the voice acting is just terrible (Bom-Bers lawl).

Spoiler:
The story doesn't sit right with me though, I mean why would the GTVA actually take the fight directly to the Shivans? It doesn't matter if you made this big ship with some huge guns on, they have a gagillion juggernauts to ram in your face.

[edit]

Just finished it. Again, pretty cool. Shame about the premature ending. My major gripe with the Fredding was that it doesn't make enough use of the escort list at all, requiring you to target lots of stuff till you find the ship you need, groah.

I found out the guy is hungarian, so that's probably why it's a little funky :)  The guy who made tcp that is  ;)

While I agree with that on general principles if you aren't aware of it you can add stuff to the escort list yourself by pressing ALT-E so it's only a hassle the first time you have to find the ship :)

Yeah I could tell a mile off he wasn't English of course, still doesn't excuse the hilarity of bom-bers.

Bastard. I didn't know that. What value of priorty does it add? 100?

Not certain. IIRC it didn't work if there were 3 ships already on the escort list unless you removed some first (ALT-E or perhaps SHIFT-ALT-E will remove a targetted ship from the escort list too).

I would assume it was 100 if I had to take a wild guess at it but I've not tested it Been a while since I've used the remove feature :) The add one is great in multiplayer for locking on to the human players in a TvT mission but has the unfortunate effect of vanishing again when you respawn.
