hells bells, you beat me to it!
i'm seriously looking forward to this one.
-
Dawn of War just keeps getting better...
/me eagerly anticipates his Broadsides laying ownage upon anything that moves.
-
Mmmm...Warhammer 40,000.
Dawn of War is the most entertaining RTS I've played in years, and I can't wait for this expansion pack. I really hope they somehow tie up the end of Dawn of War. I really didn't like how they left it wide open. I noticed the Blood Ravens in the trailer on GameSpot, so perhaps the adventures of Captain Angelos will continue.
-
I liked Dawn of War, the first expansion was a disappointment though but I quite liked the ork missions.
-
Rise my undead robot army! Rise! :arrr:

my main gripe about winter assault was the well niegh useless unit cap, limited the effectiveness of the impies very much
-
Tau > *
:p
Wonder if they'll have the firewarriors with rail guns. :D

It's the Imperial Guard if you can't bury the other guy's forces (literally!) under a pile of Guardsmen?
Ehh...I've never really subscribed to that school of thought. The real power of the Guard is tied up in their tanks. You get about nine basic Leman Russ together and folks will have a tough time stopping you. Four of them and a Baneblade...well, there goes the neighborhood. :p
I haven't gotten Winter Assault yet, so I'm curious: did they include any of the variant Leman Russ types from the Imperial Armour books?

YES NECRONS YES YES
The "taking bits of the planet one by one" sounds a lot like how Final Liberation did it, which is another 40k strategy game.
-
OMG! A race that isn't bloody depressing!
I wonder who sneaked the MDMA into the Games Workshop drinks dispenser?
-
Look its GWs inherant depression that makes it so English. If everything was all sweetness and light it'd be another gawed auwful hopeful future.
Lets face it, what sounds better.
"In the Light Brightness of the future theres a little scuffle."
Or:
"In the Grimm Darkness of the Future there is only WAR!"
Actually, come to think of it. I like the former.
-
Or it could be like a BBC headline:
Emperor and 'Chaos' forces in heated row.
-
'Fracas on Imperial Planet...more at 9'
-
I've never been able to take 40k's North Korean-esque mindset, with everyone staring at each other all slanty-eyed, seriously.
-
Gahh... scary... I hate them bloody Necrons!
Be interesting to see the Tau, never used them in Tabletop.
Hope they're as pretty as the Baneblade... (It's so pretty when you fire the main gun at stuff... the barrel flash is longer than the tank! :D)
I need closure on the first campaign 'tho... what happens to the Daemon Guy Of Doom?!
I'd also like that Titan, but that's a bit optimistic...

Nooo, that's ORK tactikz! ;)
Impy tactics is traditional C&C Tank Rush ;)

LMAO @ ngtm1r.
Tau = shooty goodness, close combat suckiness.
Their side kicks the Kroot = Better close combatness, but are more or less cannon fodder and time killers while the Firewarriors thin out the ranks of the rest of the enemy.

"Look at the size of my genitalia!"
"Hah! Cower behind the size of MY genitalia!"
"Nay, gasp at my throbbing veiny colossus!"
And soforth.

The word veiny can do wonders to a seemingly innocent mental image. Consult your local alchoholic consultant today for a solution to this problem.
