Title: F-80s on patrol (another render)
Post by: jonskowitz on October 31, 2001, 02:06:00 pm
 (http://www.homestead.com/jskgames/files/f80patrol.jpg)

This was mostly me playing around with Glittaro (did I spell that right?) and Lunarcell to generate some new backgrounds.  plus some fiddling with fogs to dull the colors of distant objects.

------------------
It (//"http://www.homestead.com/jskgames/files/home.html") will be done by November, trust me :D

Nice render. The plugin is "Glitterato".

It's November in 57 minutes here  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/tongue.gif)

Alright, I give.  It's not going to be done by november unless I forgo adding the *.WAV files.  I might add a verison "1.5" without voice acting and do a true version 2 once we're done with the voice acting.

What does everyone think, should I release a 'voiceless' version now or wait until it's all done?

ROFLMFAO

Thanks Thunder... wasn't expecting to see that, laughed for about half a minute (and giggled for another one) when I scrolled down to it.   (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/lol.gif)

I'd release it now. If you put in the voices later, I know that I'd play through it again.

I'm quite sure I'll have voice acting (it's about 1/3 of the way done now, and all the brit stuff is done (thanx fulgrymm), it's just going to take longer than I thought (maybe two weeks...), and it'll still be done before the end of November  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/lol.gif)

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!  Thunder's possessed!!!!  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

Anyway, I'd release it now and say that a voice edition will be available soon, so that people have a choice.

That's three votes for and one against a v1.5 release right now (including Thunder's on messenger...)

Anyone else?

Give it a final few run throughs and release it, I say.  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

The renders are good, you got the lighting just right to make them blend into the starscape successfully  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
