Rainbow Wars
April 25
Check out Rainbow Wars, a new game Luke, one of our designers, created for an internal presentation on prototyping. It’s available for free download—just visit his bio page to grab it. Let us know how far you get!
Luke says: “Rainbow Wars is a fast-paced, retro-styled shooter with separate movement and firing controls. It features 2-player support, 6 distinct enemies, and unlimited waves. A dual analog gamepad is recommended, though mouse and keyboard will work as well.”

Kind of addicting little game. :D
-
Frikkin hard.

I like games like this !
-
Wave 8 :D
-
I don't get it, are you supposed to be able to move or can you only warp around? Fun game though, reminds me of Geometry Wars.
-
Use the ASDW keys to move... it's in the information.
Although I would advise the use of a gamepad, it's much more addicting.

If you guys like games like this, I highly recommend visiting http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~cs8k-cyu/index_e.html and checking out all the windows games. They're all free, fun, addictive games written in the interesting D programming language.

NO WAI!

Try just holding down the left mouse button and continuously pressing the right button, occasionally releasing the left.
Edit
Hmmm... it seemed to work.
-
I didn't know that Luke Schnieder transferred over to Volition after Outrage went belly-up. That's good to hear; he's responsible for some of the best Outrage-made D3 levels. :) I'll have to give this a shot when I get the chance.
-
freakin awesome. Now, if it were like Asteroids, where you don't have a boundary that you cannot cross, it'd be easier. I find that you could sit in a corner and move the mouse around your little dot thingee and ward off just about every wave of enemies. You couldn't do that without borders cause they'd sneak up on ya from behind. It's still hard when you get up to wave 15.
-
Rhhhhhaaaaaa !
Only wave 7
madly cool
-
Mwahahaha
I'm now at wave 26 ;7

A bit off topic, but what does QFT mean?
-
QFT usually means quoted for truth. Anyways, this game is frickin addictive. I've gotten up to lvl 14 and I can't seem to get past that.
-
Wave 48 ;7
