Title: What opens FC2 files

Extracted the .vp.

I've got .FC2 for the campaign and I've gt all the .FS2 mission fies. What program can I use open the .FC2 file.

You one thing though tobiwan. You really need to keep all this stuff to one thread. I probably could have solved your problem already if I'd known which build of FS2_Open you're using. You've probably answered that question already but I've got no desire to dig through all your other threads and find out the answer.

True, notepad will do just about anything. It is also infinitely more stable, reliable, predictable and powerful than the campaign editor :D I wouldn't really suggest it as an option for someone who didn't even know how to open .fc2 files though, much less know about their inner workings. Despite it's other shortcomings, at least the campaign editor helps you along with a nice gui and is reasonably documented.

In a way that's true but considering what tobiwan wanted to do (Find the name of the trigging events for mission progression) it might actually be easier to use notepad for some people :)
