Neither of the boy's two left arms is fully functional
was born with just one kidney and may have problems that could lead to curvature of the spine, local media reports said. Jie-jie cried when either of his left arms was touched
Does not look good for the kid. I hope the remaining left arm will develop well after the planned surgery.

For the answer to that, see the Pizza thread. :nervous:

I don't see how a third arm could have any real functionality at all - surely only one could be anchored properly to the shoulder? The other might bend at the wrist and fingers and maybe a little at the elbow, but surely the shoulder'd be... non existant? We don;t have the anatgomy for a third ball and socket.

You'de be surpised how people can live with tese sort of misfortunes.

A third arm would rock. I'ld get work done ever faster.

I can think of something else more useful.... While not practical, it sure would make your girlfriend/wife/mistress very happy... :drevil:

Poor kid. I really, really tried not to laugh at the title.

That would still be enough to hold and manipulate things though :) You could move the arm into place with your fully fiunctional arms and then carry out any task that didn't require that you to move the arm. Manipulating a trackerball while touch-typing for instance :)

Or if the shoulder soesnt bed, you could spend all day,............ Scratching,

Poor kid indeed. Hope that they find somekind of solution
