Title: Microsoft Speech

Ive just got a question about the text-to-speech thing...  I absolutly hate the Microsoft Sam voice... but ive tried downloading alot of other voices but i cant get any of them to show up in the launcher for me to select...

Any help with this?  I cant even get microsoft mike or mary to work

That's rather odd. For me it was as simple as downloading and installing them. When I had AT&T Natural Voice installed they showed up too.

Just "Pretend" you're mike or mary, or even better, Train a younger member of the family to stand next to the monitor and read the text as it appears, You can get them to emphasise the voices.
If you happen to be related to a hollywood / classically trained actor/ress then even better.

Ya i tried using that link and installed the SAP15 thing... whatever that is...

What else did you do?  i just reeeeealy hate that Sam voice... lol
