Title: FOV question (seperate w/h adjustment possible?)
Post by: quadrophoeniX on June 04, 2006, 09:29:47 am
I just received my Matrox TripleHead2Go and it is kicking major... unfortunately SCP is not supported by the included tool (what a surprise!).
I was playing with various values for fov but none of them works really ok. Now I wonder whether there is some way that field of view could be adjusted individuallly for width and height. It would make a nice addition to the costom resolutions and also solve all issues with  widescreen resolutions.
BTW:with 3 19''ers  the TH2G gives you a whopping 15:4, that's double as much as a standard widescreen!

Thanks. The problem is, with -fov not being a "tickable" flag it's hard to get more revealing documetations from the launcher (much like the ambience flag) WIKI doesn't give any hints, so only the coders would know whether that feature is allready in there just waiting to be explored, or it's something that could be accessible with little effort or it's simply impossible...

Separate w/h FOV isn't possible.  Just FYI.

At some point we'll get actual widescreen support in there, but it's not a priority any time soon.  When it does get in though this FOV question should be a non-issue.
