It looks like a kind of dildo... with spikes.

That was slightly blunt wasn't it...

Christ, not again.

I've heard people comparing the Sobek to a dildo, but not a modded ship, what are you talking about? :nervous:

Continue the comparisons and find the thread locked.

And no it doesn't. Not at all. If you find this phallic in the least, you should have a doctor look at yours, for there's something very wrong there.

Sorry sir.

If you search, you'll see why this is a touchy subject. There was a period about 2 years ago, where every ship that was longer than it was wide was being compared to anatomy. From a modeller's POV, it's quite insulting.

Ah, I'm sorry, that was before even my lurker time. 'twon't happen again.
It's a nice design, but the top is kind of plain. A fancy turret or some such thing would do well up there, then again some good textureing might accomplish the same thing. Looks vaugely reminisent of the Typhon to me.

I remember that. Was a pain in the arse.
Looks nice, but lacks detail.

PENIS!!! *dashes out of thread*

*pokes head back in* (no pun here...)

actually i don't think it looks like one of those at all, i think it looks pretty menacing, especailly from a fighter's perspective, nicely badass.

EDIT: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Looks like my old HDD is gone for good *sigh* and my Fs2 CD along with it.. (which is even worse)!

It's official...my FS2 Cd died on me, so now I have to "aqire" another..by any means necessary (don't ask!)

While I stil lhavn't given up on trying to save the data from my old HDD, I'm not relying on it anymore.. Time to resume my work and start building things from scratch..

It pains me just to THINK of all the stuff I didn't havea  backup somewhere...the HTL Deamon..the HTL Athena...the HTL Phoenix...The Commander and Terminator for DOW...the 3DMax animations and items for KOTOR2... the latest version of my EV:Nova mod...  :(

You know, with people actively seeding torrents of the CDs and advertising them on this site, you can admit that you are looking to DL a copy of them from somewhere. ;}

Heh, I bought my CDs, then found out I didn't have to.

I'm on 56k.. I might DL a Torren on the coleggue, but I will probably use a more drastic approach...

B.t.w. - anyone know a good program for copying a entire HDD?

one thing that i found that works is to take a big magnet and put it onto your hard drive, and then take that same magnet, and put it over the other hard drive in the same position.  the magnet remembers how the data was arranged, and transfers it.

hi,
all images programs, which copy the HDD sector for sector.

but do you have a headcrash or is only the file table of your datasystem damage?

if least, you can try data recover programs, like this: http://www.oo-software.com/en/products/oodiskrecovery/

I learned this the hard way a few years ago.  Now you know too.  I feel your pain. :sigh: PLEASE back things up from now on.  Now that USB 2.0 external hard drives are common, there's almost no excuse.

I hope Mehrpack's possible solution works for you.

Hey TrashMan,
When you try to use your old harddisk, does it make funny noises (eg click-click-click?)  If it does, it's toast.  But if not...
BTW, when you put your old HD in the new computer (if that's how you did it), you did change the primary / slave jumpers, right?  If you didn't, sometimes the secondary won't be recognized.
FMI, how did it crash?

That sounds just technically advanced enough that I could see some people thinking that it would actually work, rather than completely trashing their HD.

Something to use at the next cocktail party, I suppose.

You talk about hard drive repair at cocktail parties?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geek :
Geek
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A geek (pronunciation /gi:k/ ) is a person who is fascinated, perhaps obsessively, by obscure or very specific areas of knowledge and imagination. Geek may not always have the same meaning as the term nerd (see nerd for a discussion of the disputed relation between the terms).

That's mainly because everything did look like a penis two years ago. I think it happened after an0n reposted his GTF Dildo and then a bunch of biters started copying him for attention.

At first it reminded me of a Garfish varient (REF).

Anyway (PM) me your mailing addy Trash. No promises but the three disks I'll enclose SHOULD work (if this major move hasn't scratched them..) You've eaned it. I gave one set to a co-worker I got like 4 FS2 leftover sets left I ran off the machine back in 2002 for the last OEM Interplay order.

Nice to be back on the net after a short abscence, (now needing reading glasses to see anything closer than 1 foot, including computer/text) but at least I can drive a car like no one's business without glasses (my implants are near 20/20 for distance)!
