Well over a week late but here it is...

It contains several files:
- Scooby-Update.rar
- Contains updates for the original mod pack release
- Bearcat run mission bug has been fixed (Ajax frigate didn't have a waypoint goal and wouldn't escort the convey (Exodus mission)
- Ships are better balanced with each other
- Weapons behave more WC style
- Simply extract the files to the appropriate folders, if you don't have the original pack you can skip this
- You will also need to extract additional.vp from this pack and replace your existing copy (The new one contains updated weapons and sounds)
- Additional.vp
- This contains common demonimator files like sounds, weapons tables, sound tables...etc
- If you have the first mod pack you need to override the existing additional.vp file (don't worry everything that was in there is in this one)
- All the rest of are models

Lol, sorry mate, yeah its for SCP, Scooby has generously released his hard graft to the public.
I'm sure he will answer any questions you ave about installation....

Ok the pics look pretty cool, but as I said before how can I use this?
What do i need to do to install it?
And one more thing, do I need the Scooby1.rar and the scoobydoofs2modelspack.zip
or just the Scooby1.rar?

Their based (or roughly based on) post-WCP:SO era ships. (nothing in this release was truely canon, although a couple demon (demon) and cobra (tembler) do resemble the real thing).
You don't need both model packs. They should operate perfectly well without the other. If you do grab the first one, it would be wise to follow the Scooby-Update.rar instructions and replace the old additional.vp file. It fixes a small error and better balances the older ships with the newer ones and replaces most of the fs2 weapon sounds with WC's.
As for missions, there isn't much, a show-off mission (with just the ship) and a modified fs2 mission (usually the first mission, lion at the gate, or Exodus). I'm not a fredder, and I don't have that much time or knowledge of fred to put them all to good use.
HINT HINT Free Fredders PLEASE make use of these models. I'd like to see my work actually being used. HINT HINT ;)

EDIT: Wait, it won't work for me! How do you install them? I tried putting them in the mod folder, I tried putting them in the Media VP folder, I tried exctracting them in their folders to the mod folder. What I do?

Oh oh...
I've got it setup on this system as D:\freespace2\scooby, not sure if thats exactly how mods are suppose to work.
Also, if you grab both packs some of the ships may not show up, (at least they don't on mine). It's because of the ship max limit, just rename some of the vp's extensions.

Okay, FS2 can read these files, but it dosen't want to. It thinks they're not there, but they still read them (I get the error message, but it still uses the actual ship file instead or the Ulysesse.). It dosen't show up on the FRED list.
EDIT: nevermind. All it does after the error message is explode. (the game)

Yikes sorry about all the problems. Anyone else having these problems?
Are the vp files show up properly (could be corrupted vp?) Also which version of fs2 are you using? I'll grab that version and see if it's causing problems

I am using the 3.6.9-RC2 Fred build and the FS2_Open_KARA_20060517 FSO build.
The problem in the link looks pretty much the same, except half the ships in my error actually work in-game (not ulysses model) but don't show up in FRED, and half the ships just make the game explode.

UGH too many different builds by different people :confused:
Sorry the Kara build doesn't work on this system, FS2's graphics are all messed up open game loading.
The lastest of Goober's builds do work http://fs2source.warpcore.org/exes/latest/ (http://fs2source.warpcore.org/exes/latest/) (the june build)

Dosen't really help. Some still cause a crash, others work.

I dunno what to do. Can anyone else help out?
Edit: Have you tried each mod pack seperately? (could these problems be due to the max ship limit [i know i've hit the limit with both packs completely active]).
Double Edit: I just realized for some of the run-missions pack 2 needs a few models from pack 1. The show-off missions don't have this problem.
