My God, the Bush administration is not even bothering to slightly deviate from the script. Remember the Office of Special Plans, the ominous-sounding cabal within the Pentagon used to lie the country into war? It's baaaack. Along with the "ZOMG, Iran is going to nuke Atlanata within a week" rhetoric, the support of opposition groups (I guess if Chalabi was an Iranian double agent, they'll supposedly get an Iraqi agent for this one, just to keep the tradition alive) and increased fear of Iran within the population (opinion polls over here (http://www.angus-reid.com/polls/index.cfm/fuseaction/viewItem/itemID/12248)) the **** is going down same as last time. Are they really arrogant enough to believe that no one will notice...again?

Is there a link to an article describing this?

we can't go into Iran, I mean i'd realy like to, but we've got too much **** halfcocked at the moment to be able to pull that off, I say we let Europe deal with this one, at least for now.

They are going to try. They think that war = higher poll numbers

They cannot use ground troops (would be too resource-intensive), but airstrikes are definately not out of question. However there is no guarantee that they work in short or long term.

I have a feeling if Bush tries this again, it's going to backfire on them bigtime, so more power to 'em. the republicans and bush have ad a fairly good week, they got Zarcowi (however his name is spelled) and a ****load of him buddies, if they want to piss it away on trying to get another war going, wich will remind everyone how ****ing wrong he was about the last one, let him go ahead and try, everytime something blows up in Iraq he'll have to start back over at square 1.
