I'm sure it'll be uplifting...

Could have been titled: how the US gave the Geneva convention the middle finger.

WTF? Its like when sufficent number of people suffer, they make a movie out of it. I don' want to see a movie about a bunch of hairheads being pissed on by the yanks. When will they make a movie where said yanks are killed? Brutally.
Im sure the director is travelling around middle east, searching people to cast in the movie as "suffering prisoners being tortured". Days pay for backround prisoners is one happy meal. Those with lines (a scream, whimper, puking blood) get happy meal + diet coke.

Is it that the "free" people of america (or anywhere else for that matter) don't know what is going on in the world (or in their own country) until they see it in the movie theatre?

BTW. Never drink coffee on a empty stomach. Hard to think straight...

Interesting fact; not only were the (former, released without charge) detainess the movie is about arrested by customs officials returning from France (cannes), so were the actors portraying them.

Oh, and hairheads?

I'm pissed off that I missed this when Channel 4 showed it (It's already been shown on TV over here) so I'm glad that it's getting a cinema release (in the US at least).

They should have opened on the same day as United 93 though. :D
