This is idiotic, but I have to ask...unfortunately...

Why did :v: call two of the core .vp's in retail FS2 "sparky"? 

Did they give the programmers electric shocks to make them finish FS2 faster?   :drevil:

Good question...something thats never been asked officially.  I'll be keeping that around for a special project.

that is a question that can only be explained in an extremely long, well written campaign.  start writing it.

@Turambar -- Hmm...I might do that.  I think I can crank out a 100+ mission campaign in a couple of weeks.  Although I would have to use my new compression software...my time compression software...

I have always wondered about those filenames myself. Root is obvious, smarty I suppose refers to what you become when you read the intel database, maybe the music sounds like warbling, and tango might have something to do with the three "acts," but I can't make any sense of sparky or stu.

probibly the unnoffitial screen names of the people who comiled each. perhaps the answers in the credits.

Well, if I had to make a guess about some of those names...

STU is an abbreviation for secure telephone unit, so that kinda makes sense for voices.

Sparky includes the effects. Sparks could be an effect, I guess.

This is just an observation...But I saw the secret videos on the Silent Threat CD (including the infamous Headz vid.)  I watched the Terran and Vasudan fight vid too.  Is it me or does it look like part of the Terran pilot's flight suit is an orange Speedo?
