Title: My First Real 3D Model...
Post by: Tyrian on June 24, 2006, 03:29:16 pm
Ok, so it's not FS2 related, but at least it's an improvement over my old GTF Super Carrot...

It's not textured, mostly because I can't texture anything to save my soul.  But I will learn soon...

Here's the old Super Carrot for comparison:

And the new model:

This is the PBM-X, the next generation of paintball markers.  The control panel allows for electronic correction of Velocity, Windage, and Height of the shot.  The sight is a monolens scope with dot sight for precise, long range shooting.  It can alternate between single shot, three round burst, and full auto.  The bipod provides extra stability.

Flame away...er...Any feedback?

Resemblance to a splatter gun? NO?

@Ashrak -- LMAO at the carrot or the gun?  Just curious...

@Pecenipicek -- Again, referring to the carrot or the gun?

@Wobble73 -- I based the case design and control panel off the XM - 29 and the barrel and stock off the M - 16.  Now I just have to learn how to texture the **** thing, using something other that Rhino...

Any suggestions on how I can improve the gun?

Bipod needs to be longer. And there is no visible grip (not with the trigger; the one along the barrel.) that won't hurt after 30 seconds.  :nervous:

@Sizzler -- I'll take a look at extending the bipod legs.  They are longer than they look though.

@Roanoke -- Thanks for the positive feedback...Still getting back on the Rhino saddle.  Haven't used it in a year...
