I would like an Orion destroyer with a deimos escort. maybe a few fighters as well, sorta like in the cinematic of the flyby of the colossus. anyone who can do this i would be thankful too.

That's really good, Thorn!

Heh. There's an Aten in there...

A good render, except one thing stands out to me. The stars - you did it on the HW render as well - they're really bright and large and (personally) I think they look a bit terrible. Sliding down the scale notch on Glitterato should get rid of it (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

You're just not used to seeing stars without atmospheric distortion, that's all. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/tongue.gif)

i got to agree - stars should be point sources nothing more to the human eye - sure with the HST they look like more than points but not to the human eye in space or not the atmopshereic disrtions reduce teh brightnes but not the siz - astronauts say teh stars were brighter adn tehre were no moe of them - they did ot say annd oh by the way they looked bigger too

Thorn, could you give me some more renders of the orion like that?
i need to do a hi-poly version and having these images for reference would help greatly (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

Why don't you just convert the Orion instead and get as many images as you want?
