Yep... it's out: http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony_pictures/spider-man_3/
Spoiler:
From the looks of it we can expect Venom, Green Goblin 2 and Sandman... not to mention Peter screwing around and MJ looking might upset about it all. Should be good!
-
i just hope he doesnt get all emo again like the first half of the second movie
-
That's a teaser, not a trailer.
-
...A teaser in HD
I look forward to the tradgic story of the sandman.
-
As I say with just about every movie I'm interested in: I hope it doesn't suck.

As I say with just about every movie I'm interested in: I hope it doesn't suck. But it probably will
There you go, fixed that for ya.
-
Is there a downloadable version? My plugins aren't working.
-

Well, they're just confused about it anyway...

Would someone clarify the difference? It had scenes from the movie... it introduced what was vaguely going to happen and who would be in it.
What more do you want? :)

For these big budget films recently they seem to have gotten the definitions mixed up. A teaser trailer is usually meant to be under a minute and more often than not doesn't reveal much about the film's story (most of the time not even having a whole lot of actual footage), whereas this easily qualifies as a full length trailer. Perhaps this has something to do with the irritating phenomenon of so many recent full length trailers presenting the audience with 90% of the film's plot, which no trailer should ever do. Really, even a full length trailer shouldn't reveal any more than what was shown in this 'teaser'.
Anyway, I didn't like either of the first films, but I'll probably end up seeing this anyway.
-
Hopefully CGI Spiderman won't look like a playstation 2 reject this time around.
-

Indeed, a good full-length trailer should only look like it presents 90% of the plot, when it in fact presents very little.
-
Looking good
-
Yay emo Spiderman!
Jesus they totally neutered his character.
-
How so?
-
Parker was always a bumbling idiot.
Granted, he generally took **** more in his stride. Kinda more "****, how am I gonna fix this?!" than the current "Christ, can the world just stop sucking for one damn minute?!?"
But he's generally unchanged.

In that case the Halo 2 theatrical trailer (seen here: http://download.microsoft.com/download/2/9/7/297aa5f8-6ebe-498b-b0a5-bc692dc08cc8/Halo2_AlreadyHere_60s_Textless_1Mbps_640x480.wmv) was a great trailer (which it is). That doesn't stop it from being horribly misleading though.
-
And here I thought this was a thread about Spiderman! Silly me.
-
Really, I thought there was a discussion about trailers and how they shouldn't include the whole plot. I used the above example to show that something that doesn't include the whole plot results in horrible dissappointment.
-
No, horrible disappointment is when you see a movie because you liked the trailer only to find you already know all the plot twists.
-
I find 'horrible disappointment' to be when you go to see a movie after watching a trailer and concluding that it's going to be great, only to be dumbstruck with how utterly terrible it is. I also find this is happening a hell of a lot more often these days than a few years ago.
-
Is that because they've become worse at making movies....or better at making trailers? :D
-
Umm good point. Id say the first option theyve become worse at making moovies. To much special effects and too little story. The viewer is no longer absorbed by the movie like a couple of years ago.
-
A teaser tells you practically nothing about a movie other than that it exists. They include, at most, only a few seconds of footage from the actual film. In the case of sequels they may even only contain footage from the previous films.
This was definitely a trailer. Maybe they called it a teaser trailer because it doesn't specifically give away anything about the plot.

Or, so they can have an equally large fanfare when they release the "trailer".....
