End round 1: Patriot Act 0 Librarians & freedom 1
-
While it's good to see a win for the First Amendment, it's worth looking at the other side of the case as well: the US Attorney for Connecticut points out that the librarians, while winning in the end, hindered an investigation into what may have proven to be a real terrorist threat.
Bollocks. Had the FBI had a real reason to see those records they could have submitted a proper warrent after proving to a judge that they had probable cause to see them.
The fact that the entire case was dropped pretty much shows that they didn't.

Damn the Patriot Act
*Is seized by FBI agents and held in prison for 6 months without charges*

But...butbutbut.... it's called the 'Patriot' Act! How can anything called 'Patriot' be bad?! honestly, next you'll be after the Puppydogs and Kittens Act (Horrible Repression Clause).

Before anyone asks what onus means (I don't really see that word much), it's from Latin (onus oner-is, n) meaning labor
I'm really gonna kill my Latin teacher! He has drilled me so hard :(
