Title: Soundblaster Audigy SE and Other Cards
Post by: Cobra on July 05, 2006, 09:30:36 pm
I was strolling through Wal-Mart's electronics department one day and I spotted a Soundblaster Audigy SE card for $30. The only things I can remember it having on the box was 24-bit sound support (and Surround sound, but i couldn't remember if it was 5.1), needing 128 MB of RAM, and having the alienware logo.

So, to the question: Do I buy the Audigy SE or get something different?

Then you might as well. Just look into what driver issues there are (every Creative card has some) and what the work-arounds are.
