i felt a warlock era carrier/dreadnaught was needed - after all the warlock is techincally an assult ship -this one is space combat - faster than the warlock carriering greater antiship weaponary but less long range planetary bombardment weapons - two hangerbays so can carry twice the fighter compliment of an omega
8 G.O.D beam cannons - 4 bow mounted and 4 aft mounted - all round defence is provided by omega stile pulse/beam turret combos plys afew heavy plasma cannons and 3 missile pods to round things out - shes got cystaline plastasteel armour that deflects 80% of the damage and a powerful stnadard drive system with a fully functional gravimetirc drive system too - basically earth built minbari engines
this provides the ships with good manervability for a ship this size still not as mananervble as the sharlin but far closer than any other EA capital ship - speed is alos not quite upto the sharlin either but close - but to compensate she severly outguns the sharlin and has better armour too

4789 verts 4291 poly its still its layers and far from optimal that should come down quite abit however the detail will be going up so it will go up so probally aiming to have it finished at maybe 8000 poly

most of those polys at the moment are teh missile tubes and the engines - the acaul model is still pretty basic - its the turrets that are going to mount up the poly count mostly

its heavyily based on the warlock yes - and the two hanger pods are very similar to the omega/nova ones i did this so it would be easily recognisable as an EA warship - all non cannon ships that aren't based on canon ships i feel look well non consistant

oh and just incase your wonder an ISD is 1.7 miles long whichi'm pretty sure is over 2km - and there is no way the warlock is bigger than an isd

It's already damn nice...i'm assuming polycount isn't an issue here.
Maybe add detail to the middle section - the 'Warlock bit', as that just looks fari flat an undetailed justnow. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
Possibly subdivide and extrude 'girders' on it.

An ISD is canonically one mile long, or 1.6 kilometers.

you sure? i read somewhere they were 1.7 miles long - hmmmm anyway there is no way what ever the sizes that a warlock is bigger than an ISD MkII

Personally I would get rid of that piece in the center of the ship- the bit that sticks up and looks like it is a big missile launcher. Either do that, or make it smaller so it doesn't protrude as much (or redesign it to be more hull hugging).
Just me opinion, other than that little niggle, it's a very nice model, even if it looks like the product of an unholy alliance between a Omega and a Warlock (Taking bio-ships a bit to the extreme aren't we? (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif))

The Warlock is stated by Tim Earls, the guy who designed it, to be 1,992.4 meters. So it's longer but still have less volume, since it's a long skinny shape instead of a cheese wedge.

Oh, and if you haven't already, add a bunch of little AA guns. I couldn't pick any out.
