Am I missing something here? I tried playing this mission a couple times through, but I noticed that you cannot arm torpedoes on any of the 3 available bomber ship types. In the briefing it mentions I believe the 'Cyclops' Torpedoes are available to take the ship down. The only missiles available are the Hornets and another basic dumbfire one. Without them, our bomber wings get totally obliterated.
I'm using v3.6.7 SCP with the updated visual & audio files, in OpenGL mode.
On a side note, is the nebulae effects updated from the originals, because though I've never played the retail version, it's like flying in pea-soup, which is interesting, but it hardly affects your radar or targeting systems unless they're a LOOONG way off.

:welcome:
That is bizarre... the Cyclopses should be automatically armed on your bomber. You haven't been messing around with the ships.tbl have you?
And yes the nebulas are supposed to be like flying in pea soup. Only slight updates have been done to the nebulae, and they are optional. Radar range should be like 1200m or something like that.

Try pressing 'reset loadouts' in the ship/weapon loadout screens during the briefing.

I haven't touched any file other than using the SCP replacements. IIRC the first time I played the mission I didn't even go into the loadout/ship selection screen. Instead I was defaulted to being full of Hornets.

Wait till you get in to a certain red nebula later, that's when it starts to be a pain.

I clicked reset in the weapon loadout and ship selection screens to get back the default loadouts, and still no torpedoes. They're not even available in the missile listing on the left! The only thing I'm using is the SCP 3.6.7...

use CVS.

if you have a problem like this, you might have a corrupted pilot file. A similar thing happened to me once too. The solution, use a new pilot.

I'll give it a shot.
