OK after ripping and converting all of the movie files from the disks and putting them in the FS2 movie subdirectory, I have a strange problem now. The intros / cutscenes don't seem to want to work at all unless I run the game in windowed mode. I can hear the audio playing, but it's just a blank screen. In windowed mode, any res, it works fine. Any thoughts or solutions? They work perfectly in any external media player too.
I tried searching around the forums a bit, but it seems most of the posts are about where to get the cutscenes and stuff. I'm using SCP 3.6.7.

Hi,
3.6.7 is rather old, I suggest you get an up to date build from here:

Tried out 3.6.9RC5 and it still doesn't fix the cutscene issue.

Turn off Divx Toolbar.
The option probably lurks somewhere in your Divx settings.
-
I don't appear to have a DivX toolbar anywhere. The only thing I can find in the DivX folder thingy is the decode options.
I seem to remember seeing posted somewhere how you shouldn't be using DivX 6.x and instead should use a 5.x version. It seems I am still using version 5.2.1 though I may attempt to reinstall just to be sure, because I could've sworn I had a 6.x codec.

Try getting the XviD codec.
-
Yep. That's what I would suggest. Uninstall divx completely and install XviD instead.
-
You do know that with the 3.6.9 builds you can just play the cutscenes directly from the CD right?
-
Won't help him unless he upgrades from 3.6.7 though. He'll be similarly buggered if he tried to play Transcend regardless of build as that uses an avi cutscene.
That said upgrading is a good idea generally. :)

I did try upgrading to 3.6.9 but I have problems with fired weapons & beams not showing up at all. I'll try out that xvid codec.
