I don't know if there are any Pink Floyd fans here, but apparently Syd Barrett died on the 7th of this month. He wasn't with them for long, but I think the band did some of its best work during his era, and they certainly wouldn't exist without him.
Here's his BBC obituary. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/5169682.stm)

Though IIRC Nick Mason was the only guy to stick it out, I've always been lead to believe Syd was Mr Pink Floyd.
I got The Wall a few months ago. Didn't really like it, not even sure if it was Syd barrett era, but I always take a while to warm-up to stuff. Had the Ramones' Anthology for about 6 months before I really started to like it.

Pink Floyd and The Piper at the Gates of Dawn are Syd Barrets stuff(albums), everything post barret is hit and miss :D
