(straight to video, by JMS*, supposedly)
http://www.aintitcoolnews.com/display.cgi?id=23963
If you can stand to read the thoroughly vomitious source, of course.
EDIT; apparently it's broken up into 20-minute vignettes telling a single 'character story' (says JMS doesn't want to make a feature film now that two of his main actors are dead). And there's possibly a MMORPG on the way.
*I'd rather use Strazyn....Stras....ah, well, you get my point.

Interesting.

Interesting.
-
I have my doubts any of that will actually happen.
-
When push comes to shove the money just won't appear.
-
and what's the point of telling one character's story in 20 minutes? You just can't fit enough in! And no G'Kar GRRRRR! :hopping:
-
They could bring back G'Kar as a CGI character?
-
Yes but who would voice him??
-
Jon Culshaw.
-
Jon Culshaw.
:wakka:
I just got a vision of G'Kars face speaking like John Culshaws Ozzy Osbourne!!
-
G'Kar's DEAD?!!?!?!?
when that happen ?! :shaking:

Not sure if the character died or not, but the actor who played him passed away earlier this year! :(
These stories will expand on the characters that were previously established. The only character he mentioned would not be covered would be G'Kar since he believes no one should ever voice G'Kar except for Andreas Katsulas, who passed away earlier this year.
-
Andreas Katsulas (G'Kar) died February 13 2006. Richard Biggs (Stephen Franklin) died May 22 2004. Tim Choate (Zathras) died September 2004.

Damn and they were so young too...... :(
-
Yeah........ damn, some asshole upin the sky hates B5..... grrrrrr
-
ergh....B5 was the second best sci-fi series on TV ever (the new BSG being the best, in my humble opinion), and it never got the big recognition that it deserved. I had never even heard of it until i happened upon it one day on the Sci-fi channel, and i was instantly hooked. Too bad it's always taken a back seat.
-
this really sucks. Andreas Katsulas was the best damn actor in that show. this sucks
-
One of the best actors I've ever seen, and I like the idea that he used to hang about outside the studio smoking... in full costume.
-
Allthough the passings away are truly sad, the news itself is amazing. I really do hope that this will become reality.
-
I think JMS is on the right track, producing short films centred around one character per show. Since the two actors are no longer with us that would make a feature film harder to create since both Biggs and Katsulas were amazing actors and it would be very hard to fill those shoes.
Andreas Katsulas certainly played G'Kar well as if he were that alien himself. No doubt that actor contributed a great deal to B5.
Personally I’d like to see a short-film centred around Garibaldi, parts of his life would be awesome to see. Maybe his revenge on Bester , there could be a better story. After Sinclair’s departure, when the battle over 1000 years ago (approx. from 2260) took place could be a good story
-
Maybe his revenge on Bester
That is written in the "Final Reckoning - The Fate of Bester", the third book of the Psi Corps trilogy.
-
Id like to see more B5, but i dont know if they can create a true B5 series\movie again. From where it left off, everyone was in the future, and we became like vorlons.
Would be cool tho.
Expecially with those 3 actors dead. Ya know what, its the shadows, returning!!! RUN!

/me resolves to hunt down and buy every B5 book.
Knowing Garibaldi, Bester's fate was painful, inventive, and broadcast to the rest of the Psi Corps as a warning.
-
I suggest you read B5 books in this order.
1) To Dream in the City of Sorrows
2) Dark Genesis: The Birth of the Psi Corps
3) Deadly Relations: Bester Ascendant
4) Final Reckoning: The Fate of Bester
5) Legions of Fire: The Long Night of Centauri Prime
6) Legions of Fire: Armies of Light and Dark
7) Legions of Fire: Out of the Darkness
8) The Shadow Within
9) The Passing of the Techno-Mages: Casting Shadows
10) The Passing of the Techno-Mages: Summoning Light
11) The Passing of the Techno-Mages: Invoking Darkness
And yes, I've read all of the above. Rest of the B5 books aren't too important or good.
-
I was meant to start reading some B5 books a while back after I finished some trek novels, never got around to buying any. I'll put that on my list to read after I watch season 5 in a few months for the 2nd time. Cheers on the list Fury , I've always been interested in the Techno-Mages but there was only such a small part on Babylon 5 and Crusade, sounds like it'll make a good read.

Man that was another kickass FS2 squad, I say squad, it was just a load of Technomage fans who had a select group of elite FS2 pilots.
I reckon their site needs an update though.......
