I`m working on a mission where I have to escort acouple of ships through a astroid belt. Well thats all fine and dandy but, I can`t see the actually rocks until there 100 feet away and they just appear. Is it possible to set it so they are not hidden? So I can see them all From a distance?
This mission is using the port by the way.

Did you happen to notice where the asteroid belt boundaries are? Sounds like you're right on the edge of the belt, or else you made a really tiny one.

I believe draw distance may be a factor involved here.
*srsly* :D

Hey i`m not that dumb. :P
Yes i`m on the edge and I just wanted to know if there was a way to see the asteroids before my ships entered it? It looks alittle unrealistic when all I see is space ahead and then large rocks appear from nowhere. (shrugs)

The rocks spawn on the edge of the field, and only 256 asteroids are allowed (guess because the engine couldn't easily keep track of more than that.) Which means a dense field must also be small. You want a great example of this look at the second mission in Derelict. Tiny field, so the rocks are so obviously spawning in plain sight.

On topic, Dark has it right.
Slightly off-topic, on first glance at the thread title, I could've sworn that the thread would've been something about the awesomeness of being invisible. :D
