Title: A “failure of care”
Post by: Sarafan on July 28, 2006, 05:58:22 pm
How? That's all I ask, how? Truth be told, if this had happened here at his on own country this resuslt would have been expected and, in a way, normal, but on a place like England and wich so much evidence against the people who shoot him, is ridiculous and enraging to see this.

Listen, it was one guy who got shot in the frenzy immediately following the London bombings. Under the circumstances, it's pretty much the police's duty to shoot anyone who even looks suspicious. There are very few police departments in the world who would have shown any more restraint or who would have acted differently.

11 shots, 7 in the head. Yeah, that showed a lot of restraint. He looked incredibily suspicious because he had “Mongolian eyes”.

Rictor, that link pretty much covers it.  They ****ed up. I live in the UK, I love the UK and I want to feel safe in it - we don't have armed cops as standard and THIS is why. I would rather die at the hands of a terrorist, than at the hands of my own protectors.

Whatever happened to "better 100 guilty men go free, than 1 innocent punished"?  Now the cops can justify any shooting on the basis that the victim "looked like a terrorist".

Instead, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has rejected any criminal proceedings against any of the officers directly involved in the shooting and those who commanded them on the spurious basis that there is “insufficient evidence to provide a realistic prospect of conviction.”

They pinned him on the ground, and then emptied half a clip into him in front of at least a dozen people. How could there be no "evidence"? Maybe if the witnesses had just "disappeared" there would be insufficient evidence.....

I think this was a prelude to invasion by Ghangis Khan's descendant..... :nervous:

Gee, I guess I need to see "V for Vendetta" after all...

Sounds like some dirty cops (or at least Mr Blair) need their asses kicked (since it looks like they have gotten away with murder.)

"Mistaken Identity?" Are you ****ting me?

If you are a twin to Carlos "The Jackel" , ok I can see a possible error. But they KNEW exactly who he was, surveiled him, followed him, allowed him to get on his morning train to work, then walked up to him and executed him with extreme prejudice...

"Mongolian eyes?" - Sounds like a hate crime to me...

I weep for you Mother Brittania...

I was under the impression that although none of the invidual officers would be brought to trial the entire met would face the charge of Corporate Manslaughter which would result in jail time for those responsible for telling the policemen who did the shooting that he had to be shot on sight.

Don't say slanderous things like that about our beloved and just police department!
They might find something suspicious about the way you walk and be forced to shoot you in the face.
