Title: Here's what i've been doing today

Well i've been converting some FS2 models into 3ds. After a couple hours of work, i managed to produce this.  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
Couple of hours on this render that is.

1024x768, 248 kb (//"http://w1.520.telia.com/~u52019065/Ravana1024x768.jpg")
1152x864, 300 kb (//"http://w1.520.telia.com/~u52019065/Ravana1152x864.jpg")
1200x1024, 374 kb (//"http://w1.520.telia.com/~u52019065/Ravana1280x1024.jpg")

The render not perfect, but i'm happy with it.  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

Update: planet fixed. File size reduced (a little) (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

It took some time to figure out the Video-Post lensflare filters in MAX. Usually i just load one of the premade ones.

Might want to run a JPEG compression program on those (size is a bit excessive).

Looks good, but stick some more segments in that planet, and it will look great.

For the planet convert the sphere to NURBS.

For a banana...eat it.

I'll fix the planet and see if i can't reduce the size a little.
It's already .JPG compressed. I had MAX output the image in .PNG, and then i thought i could convert it in Photoshop, but photoshop messed up somewhere and the starfield (background) just vanished! converted with ACDsee 4 instead.

Well, I'm no Sushi, but the main thing that bothers me about this render is the engine glows... too dim!

Of course, a high-poly Ravanna would be nice...   (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)
