:wtf:

just... no.

no. no.

you could have also timed the supernova a wee bit better, its... well, the music is a wee bit mellow to the overall stuff happening.

with a more.... ahem, action-ish song it could be better. much better.

:claps hands to ears:

NO NO NO NO! Halo music in Freespace! NONONONONONONONONonflkjdlkfjlkjJ*(&$#$--------------- :snipe:

Joking aside, I thought the video was well done, but it really needs better music.
Maybe also switch the supernova and hallfight sequences? Seems like the supernova oughtta be the climax.

i've explained why below that you fool. unless you decided to ignore that part.

its a nice compilation of major FS&FS2 cutscenes, but the vid could have been timed vastly better than it is right now.

The music is ace, the cutscenes are just as good as they were the first time I saw them, and they were quite well combined - technically. Technically it was a solid piece of work, as far as I can tell.

However, even though the music is excellent in itself, I'm also of the opinion that it's perhaps too strongly bound to Halo universe to do justice to Freespace/2 cutscenes - and vice versa, the cutscenes don't do justice to the music. It's like trying to watch a video and to listen the music at the same time... somehow I didn't get a seamless audiovisual impression, if you get my meaning... it's hard to explain, but I automatically tuned for Halo universe feel in the beginning, and then it was replaced in the screen by Freespace universe, which is very much totally different, and it was, like I said, like trying to watch TV and listen to radio at the same time.

For these reasons, I didn't think the music choice for the video (or the video choice for the music! :p) was the best you could've made.

Don't get me wrong. It's good, but the problem is that the movie doesn't do justice to excellent piece of music, and vice versa.

Please do not use old Fat of the Land tracks, they're far too overused by now.

Yeah. If you have to use the Prodigy go with Out of Space. The lyrics almost fit perfectly with the subject matter :p

Their Law is just a compilation of previous albums though.

Honestly, I don't know. I've been meaning to buy it for the longest time, but aside from that intent I've heard next to nothing from it. But yeah, I don't see anything wrong with using later (or earlier) work; the problem with Fat of the Land is just that we've all heard every track on that CD about a thousand times over.

Personally, if you were to use electronic, I'd recommend something a little more instrumental such as Aphex Twin or perhaps Mimetic. Industrial is where it's at.

The best Prodigy album is The Prodigy Experience by far. Music For The Jilted Generation is a close second.

Truth! :D

If you're looking for something less hard, try Chicane's Saltwater as a soundtrack. Nice, atmospheric and soothing. Though...I suppose not so good for combat.

Or how about something like "Eve of the War" from Jeff Waynes War of the Worlds. I think that would look pretty cool  :pimp:
