Just a few things, mostly new, I was playing around with. I'm still slowly working on my other unfinished stuff (uv mapping is so mind numbing :P), but I'd thought I'd get some opinions on these things.

A small installation sorta inspired by Ragnar. Meant to be fairly low-key, just for cargo or resupply. 16 docking points for any ships to dock with, and 2 fighter bays (top and bottom holes).

A sleek fighter meant to look fast. Atmospheric capable, but only has a small weapons loadout. 2 cannons plus a single missile bay. Perhaps for civilian use. This guy is also has a cockpit and is UV mapped. I started the texture awhile ago, but lost that in a hard drive crash.

GTVA Corvette. A broadsider, 2 beam cannons on each side, plus a large assortment of other turrets. Deck guns cover the top and bottom, so the only real problems are front and rear firing arcs.

And a stealthy ship. Not sure what I'm really going to do with him. Probably recon or superiority.

 the corvette looks more vasudan to me
-
:P He said GTVA as in 'the Terran and Vasudans'. Sleek
-
oh yeah missed the v :nervous:

As a Vasudan craft, the blocky sections are too Terran. So, either the Vasudans are starting to incorporate some Terran design features in their ships, or the Terrans are continuing to sleeken-up their designs, as with the Hecate, and this one is even more so. Could be the successor to the Deimos. The stealth ship is exceptionally cool. Almost has a Swallow look to it.

Wow I really like the station.

Hunter wishes Axem would finish the Lamia before starting new projects....
Still, all of those look good. I've tried playing around in Truespace and BLECH. :ick: Can't even make a simple sphere.... I'll stick to FREDding....

I agree (plaese don't hurt me) :shaking:

Ditto :)

Click and hold the left button on the Primitives button, which most likely has a cube on it currently, drag up to the Sphere, let go and there's your sphere sitting at 0,0,1. Right click the button to set the initial parameters for the primitive.
trueSpace buttons have little (on higher resolutions _very_ little) triangles in the upper left, upper right or both corners. One in the upper right means that rightclicking the button will open some sort of panel that does stuff related to that function. One in the upper left means that holding the left mouse button will expand the button to show the rest of the tools.
Some of those rightclick panels will also open and close automatically as you change tools. Rightclicking will make (most of them) persistant, they stay open when you change off that tool.
As to why the user interface is so... odd... it's because trueSpace originally started life as an Amiga program. If you think tS 3.2 is limited, there's a page on some UK magazine site with trueSpace 1.0 for Windows to download free.
-
Hey. I don't think that's fair. Lightwave also started out as an Amiga program too :p
-
WOW!!!
True please finish one at a time... :D The waiting is killing us!
Station: cool BSG.
The Sleek Fighter: Definately looks like a prowler from Farscape, but better as I think the show's fighters suck, just needs a bit more detail! (don't scream)
GTVA Corvette: Boom on the money, looks like a Vasudan heavy influence with some Terran connectors and guns. (snatches it up)...
That stealth figher, I need it... I just need a single tail on the middle back end between the engine housings... (please gimmie! - 2 down, one ship to go :nervous:)...
-

Yup, looks a lot like a next-gen hybrid design, as in incorporating elements from the Deimos and the Sobek.
Me likes a lot
-
Don't worry about my other ships. I said I'm still working on them. ;) The Lamia and Cretheus are both nearly done. PCS doesn't want to convert the Lamia, so I have to go through it to find the offending geometry and fix it. :blah:
Anyhow, like Col. Fishguts said, the idea for the Corvette was a true Terran-Vasudan hybrid. Vasudan-esque shape, Terran greebles and weapons.
Robo: I'm a tad confused by what you mean. Do you mean something like this?

Nah, I noticed a close enough similarity to a ship I need. I was goign fro a more traditional tail (f-16ish) would be good enough, but in actuality the ship I am aiming for is this:
mega spoiler now...

Another ship on GW is close enough for this one:
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b321/Star-Dragon/GetterArrowShip.jpg
Which means I just need the last one (and ironicly in the original series and the re-make they need to find this pilot as well lol!!!):

I'm about to do some testing for RoboQuack (if successful) that should carry over to this project.
ok, shutting up now! ;7

wow, those look like actual plastic toys
-
Um... Cause they are.
I figured it would be better to post those close up pics rather than frames from the anime...

strange

It's a mini-Raynor! :P
That actually reminded me more of the Adv. Phobos from Inferno... if you colored it olive drab.

once again axem makes ships that totally kick ass. nice work.
