I think the battery recalls are the symptom of another problem. Let's face it guys, Li technology has reached it's safe limits (or has come pretty damn close). The new portable video cards, hard drives, memory, processors are power hogs to some degree or another. We need new battery technology, and we need it soon.

Isn't there already a hugely expensive laptop with HD replaced with flash memory and power supplied by fuel cells?
