Title: MIssion archive?
Post by: Wildfire on November 23, 2001, 06:27:00 am
How many (if anyone) looks in VolitionWatch these days?

And if HLP opened a missions archive in the mods section would anyone be interested in it?

I have something slightly related, too: Shouldn't HLP have an IRC room?

I still occasionally look in the VolitionWatch archive and grab the odd mission/mod/campaign. There is still some stuff there that I never got round to downloading. As for an HLP mission archive, why not? Its a good idea.

IRC Room: Good idea. There should be one on the 3DAP IRC server, if 3DAP has one.

Archive: Yes. HLP already has a MOD archive so why not? Besides, all their hosted campaigns...  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

VWatch: It seems that VWatch has become a lot more centered around Red Faction and Summoner, instead of FS. Updates there are rare, at best, since most of VWatch's staffers are occupied with real life, or with a campaign/project/thingy. Or just with keeping up with RF and Summoner news.

I told you that It ("http://www.jskgames.homestead.com/files/home.html") would be done by November, well, mostly anyway...

Its just me posting news....and I have no time for it really.  FS isn't a happening subject either.

No idea what the "M" stands for but the rest stands for "Internet Relay Chat".

As for the idea of a HLP Mission Archives, I think it would be a good idea. For some of us, we visit HLP more than Volitionwatch nowadays. I'm one of them.

A mission archive... we considered it before - and ditched it  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif) I guess we could reconsider, but...  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/nervous.gif)

Btw, for IRC: www.mirc.com ("http://www.mirc.com")  - get the client, fire it up, and you're set. Try and get someone who knows the system to be online to explain stuff to you, it's handy.  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
