Title: Shields and Hull

I didn't know where to put a topic like this one, so I just put it here since it's related to what I'm doing...

Does 580 hull and 1000 shields equal 1000 hull and 580 shields? I know there's factors such as shield recharge, and anti-shield/hull weapons, but are they roughly the same in-game?

One the smae lines.... I've noticed if I have a powerful shield I can still take damge from a standard weak FS missile.  :confused:

IMO, not really... Shields are divided into 4 quadrants, can be recharged, balanced etc. and also different weapons deal different amount of damage against shields and hull.
